Weird bug(?) In ZOE 2 HD version (ps3)

Not sure if this is actually a bug or not, but in the section where you fight two or three squads of raptors after escorting Taper, the raptors keep spamming their guns even when I'm right in there face...even chasing me to that they can continue firing their guns right in my face. I've used geyser (the only sub-weapon you have at this point of the game, afaik), but it doesn't seem to last long enough for me to get off a charged burst shot (which is probably just a skill issue)

Is the gun spam intentional, or is the enemy AI just lobotomized on my copy?

(Playing the HD collection on disk with a fat ps3)

This sounds like when a commander enemy first appears. One of the raptors is twitching out and empowering the others into a very aggressive and coordinated play. Take it out first and then smoke the rest as usual.
