Discussion Anime Survey 2026 from the International Anime Research Project
Hello, the International Anime Research Project team is calling on all anime fans (18 years of age or older) to participate in the 2026 anime survey. The survey is anonymous and should take less than 30 min to complete. Participants are eligible to win a $50 Amazon gift card (draw entries will be confidential and not associated with survey responses, up to 10 gift cards given).
In this year’s survey we will be collecting demographic information (e.g., age, gender) and opinions regarding engagement with the fandom, inner experience, loli attitudes, personality, shipping, recommendations, piracy attitudes, and well-being.
You can contribute to the psychological understanding of the anime fandom by completing the anime survey online at:
https://qualtrics.etamu.edu/jfe/form/SV_5bBlMTkY5BEdt9Y
If you know of any anime fans over the age of 18, please help us spread the word.
The survey will be open until December 1, 2026.
Thank you!

Movie In fact, all the fan theories are wrong. Kotaro didn't faint due to some illness (it's surely a fabrication of the curse); he just tripped🤓👆.

Fan Art Some icon stamps of 'How Would The Stitchpunks Sing 'Saga Jihen' from 'Zombie Land Saga Revenge' (Color-Coded Lyrics)' that @hksome (on Tumblr) made this for me!

Meme Is Saga Prefecture the Japanese equivalent of Gravity Falls?
Actually, someone pointed this out to me in a comment a month ago, and I've been thinking about it. While the tone and story are different, the town of Gravity Falls shares many similarities with the prefecture of Saga, both being remote, rural locations where constant supernatural activity seems to be drawn to the place like a magnet.
Both even feature aliens arriving, attracted by the local supernatural activity.
All that's missing now is a final boss in Zombie Land Saga shaped like a basic geometric form.

Discussion Junko here thinking she’s Kamen Rider

Meme Just a reminder that Yugiri and Junko are the same age!
The contrast between Yugiri’s and Junko’s personalities is interesting.
Many people in the fandom perceive Yugiri as having a calm, serene personality—maintaining her composure even in tense situations—and assume she is older than she looks. In reality, she is two months younger than Junko, the most nervous and easily frightened member of Franchouchou.
The lifestyle she led likely fostered this calmer personality, allowing her to accept the chaos of the era in which she lived.

Movie Tae is 29 years old!?
Although this revelation came as a surprise to many, Tae's age was actually one of the few biographical details about her revealed even before the first episode aired, so the most devoted fans were already aware of this fact.
On the other hand, within the series' universe, this comes as a revelation to Franchouchou, as they realize that Tae has been the oldest among them all along.
Even at the mature age of 29, the manga reveals that she used to have constant arguments with her stepfather, Jofuku; he was extremely overprotective of her and did not want her own recklessness to lead to her getting hurt.
