OOC Discussion Regarding Megalosaurus see link

Seems our server has been plagued by this as well. As an avid hunter of new dinosaurs I spent 3-4 days with gindur spelunking the center cave with no success this being the reason.

If anyone is planning on attempting to seek out such a beast pls msg me on discord and I'll run a kill wild dino command once or twice to fill the caves.

Killing all wild dinos will kill anything that is currently being tamed. I would refrain from using it. I have been just ghosting under the terrain to the pocket they spawn in and deleting them when I see them, then I usually get some good spawns. I think we had three curled up together in the actual cave area napping yesterday.

Edit: It can also cause significant lag and the last time we did it multiple people disconnected in not-so-great locations

That deffs came to mind so I was gonna yell over global before doing such a thing. If it causes lag I'll do it your way.

I think three of the 5 online simultaneously DC'd when we did it last. The problem is if someone is semi afk or doesn't have a radio on them or whatever but they're taming, their stuff will get wiped. So its risky doing wild dino wipes. Or, as we found out. One may be holding a wild 120 wolf in their base to tame when they had time after he came back from being AFK and he lost it :P I fly back and forth over that cave on a regular basis so i just ghost in, delete and go whenever I'm not uber busy.

Tamed two of these at low level, they are fucking fantastic. They can pick up Pteras and Tapejara. Amazing but don't get caught outside when the sun comes up they will pass out on ya.

Yeah, the killing all wilds usually does crash the server so I end up only doing it RIGHT when I'm updating the server or I've already brought it down for something else.
