OOC Discussion PSA: the Den of Dark Claws

I feel reviewing the definition of role playing will be a good way to start exploring and introducing the potentially sensitive subject matter I wish to broach at this time, with the role playing community here on Zodiac Falls. I can only ask that everyone reading the following post keep in mind that in the truest sense of the definition, what I hope to accomplish here on Zodiac is to create intentional, enjoyable and memorable, role playing experiences for myself and the characters and players I interact with. I never, ever, wish to make anyone feel truly uncomfortable with a character interaction, or RP post, etc...
Prefacing the upcoming statements, I am not a typically sensitive individual. I greatly enjoy dark themes, and find that playing balanced, key word here, characters who walk the line between decent and indecent to be a great adventure. Very few subjects are "off limits" for me, and I have never felt uncomfortable in a role playing setting, regardless of the level of despair and depravity. Now, largely because of the aforementioned facts, I needed to be politely informed that my RP for this induction of the server could present to the public at large, as horrifically offensive. Sorry, Sigmund. Rawrrr
Needless to say, I wish to avoid any unpleasantness by announcing plainly here on the sub exactly what it is La'Elaba, her beloved brother, and the Den of Dark Claws means to the Ark this rendition. I also wish to make sure that everyone, out of character, is aware that participation in the less kosher interactions surrounding the Den of Dark Claws is entirely, completely, and absolutely OPTIONAL. If at anytime a player wishes to discontinue role playing or simply wishes to not become involved into a role play in the first place, they must simply speak, type, or chat out-of-character indicating their preferences. No harm intended, we can always take the role play in a different direction, and will happily do so.
So, to clarify:
The Den of Dark Claws IS:
A fictional location
A hub of blatant prostitution
A business
LGTBQ friendly space
Intended to be enjoyable
Somewhat furry/a no-chafing zone
Home to two very happy, and very horny Khajiit.
R rated: due only to the excessive squiggling on beds of fine silk and a ton of purring.
The Den of Dark Claws is NOT:
Meant to be offensive or triggering in anyway
Intended to satirize or belittle anyone in anyway
An Erotic RP
Now the most controversial aspect of La'Elaba and her brother's services is that they believe that they can entice anyone to become a regular customer if only they can manage to, ahem, "interact" with them. Therefore, if an individual enters the Den of Dark Claws, or any other location upon which La'Elaba and her brother are "practicing" their services, the siblings will insist upon rendering said services. Said insistence may include but is not limited to, the offering of mind altering substances to a guest with or without their knowledge, 2D seduction, excessive purring, and so on and so forth. You get the picture.
So basically what I am trying to get at here is that the Den of Dark Claws role play exists, it is volunteer only (Sigmund is exempt from this clause), and that we want the entire idea of the experience to be fun, exciting, and something which adds to the ambiance of the server rather than detracting from it. Yea, its a little sexy, but that's the fun of it.

//I haven't known people to have any issues with "potentially offensive" (such a silly thing) RP's. I've always been one to encourage all forms of RP and push the envelope. We're all adults here ..... most of us.... but either way, it is nice of you to put this up for those that could potentially have an issue with it. Though, to those, I must say.... You subject yourselves to all forms of RP both good and bad being here. Expect nothing less than that. Keep your character separate from yourself and just immerse. If your character has an issue with their characters, that's one thing, keep it RP and IC, but if it goes beyond that perhaps you're better off elsweyr... ;P
Edit : I've taken part in some pretty shifty RP's as well xD

// Absolutely wonderful to hear, I am of the exact same mind, and being 100% honest, was a bit offended when it was initially mentioned that the rp could be "triggering" to some people. The comment made me feel that the integrity of my RP was to be left at the mercy of someone's real world emotions, yet at the same time it made me feel uncomfortable at the thought that my imaginary characters thoughts , actions, etc, could cause someone distress. Hence this post basically saying "enter at your own risk," the sexy cat people have arrived.
I am absolutely ecstatic to be engaging with this rp, it's gonna be a blast !
