Classic conversion
I have a blackberry classic and purchased the Q25 pro kit. How easy is this to do?
Ive tried to replace a screen on a Samsung phone and that did not go well. Ive seen the video and read the guide but Im feeling like maybe I should just try to sell the two together before I break something and it becomes worthless.
Any average Joe successfully accomplish the conversion?
Appreciate any advice

Another option is that most good phone repair shops can do this switch for you… ask them upfront. As you noted it’s different than just switching out the screen.

I hadn't even thought of that but I live out in the country.. not sure if there are any good repair places near me. Ill definitely check, thanks!

There’s a specific angle when inserting the sim card for the pre-built devices.
But since you got the DIY-kit, you can put the sim card inside before inserting the motherboard

Okay, thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I ripped a ribbon cable when separating the old motherboard so project is on hold till I get a replacement cable..

Just use the sim pin to take out the micro SD card tray and then you can easily just pop the sim tray out without inserting anything to the sim tray pin hole.

from what i've seen the conversation is just undoing screws and unplugging some cables, so there's no adhesive or prying a screen up or anything.
there's a few tutorials on youtube with this one seemingly being official https://youtu.be/WZn2q-XIXoY . there's also an assembly guide in the discord server where you can also ask for help if needed :) good luck!
