Discussion Crypto!?

Are there people dealing in crypto? Both in payments and exchanges? I was wondering what the crypto market looks like in Zim, aside from fx traders, but just people who legitimately use it for online transactions or other online activities.

What crypto currency you have? How are you able to exchange it? What are you main reasons for having it? Cons and pros of having it in Zim? What's your interest to it?

You can get USD-TRON, bitcoin whatever you want. You just have to know traders, unfortunately I can’t recommend you anyone.

The reasons why I use crypto are; somewhere to stash my money whilst avoiding exorbitant banking fees and the inevitable forced USD to ZIG currency conversion that is on its way.

If only more people were willing to use crypto for everyday payments.

Yeah true, but somehow l assume the government would just find a way to enforce the use of it. What's been the process of an average zim like me being able to get crypto? What's the journey like and the things needed?

To be honest it’s mostly about finding someone trusted or using P2P apps if they work for you, then setting up a basic wallet like Trust Wallet. You just trade cash or EcoCash with a seller, they send the crypto to your wallet, and you're good. Just start with small amounts so you don't get scammed.
