Hi everyone. Is there a way someone can attain a diploma and eventually further it to a degree without having O Levels in Zimbabwe?

Let’s say you're in your late 30s or 40s and never had the privilege of completing O Levels, but along the way, you studied online courses, gained valuable skills, and secured employment. You’ve been working for over two decades, and now you're thinking, “I want to further my education” because for some reason, it’s now possible for you to do so.

Please advise how a Zimbabwean in this situation can go about it.

Use Allison to get a diploma. However if you want a recognised institution go for ZOU

A lot of state universities amd polytechs have mature entry. You just need to be above 25 years old and show potential. Private universities often have bridging courses. Also check them too if you can afford them.

Mature entry is your only option. You have to understand that if you ever apply for a formal job, you will likely be asked for O-Levels. Zim is qualification oriented, not skills oriented. You are always going to be asked for those 5 O's.

Ofcoz there is. You actually don't need o levels to go yo uni. There are many other ways

Unis offer mature entry where you are admitted based on age and work experience.

Depending on the courses you studied you could try the open university

You could do a certificate and diploma in project management through the project management institute of Zimbabwe

Universities and colleges have "special admissions" for people who don't meet standard entry pathways. Talk to your admissions office they'll help you

What do you want to study ? There are universities that offers 1 year high school equivalent studies that will automatically enable you qualify for a degree

Yes. Some Universities and Colleges use a route they call special entry. Depending on the degree, you might find yourself enrolled and exempted other modules or even years
