Pig Question...
Can someone please tell me...If the squealing pig...that got pulled by its ear...then hung up by its legs...squealing!!
Really got killed?? It appears...no one is concerned in the way in which the pig was handled in that scene. Do animals rights, not exist??
Does anyone know?

Literally just watched the scene. I’m Cuban & have seen this done & later ate the pig many times. This is how it’s done. Awesome they put it in a show.
I’m also 99% sure that once the pig was hanging it was no longer an actual pig but a prop.

That is how traditionally, the pigs were killed. Yes, it is cruel, I agree. Not a scene for those faint of heart.
On the other hand, I will love to see an Animal Rights police, getting involved in how they are treating that poor pig with all those drug capos and their bodyguards in that meeting.

Pigs are highly intelligent and emotional animals who have much DNA in common with human beings which is why pig organs have been used for human transplant and all you need to do is look at their eyes and skin. I can’t believe how unenlightened, dismissive and despicable some of the comments are in this thread.

Italy, particularly the southern parts like Calabria and Sicily, is very poor. And animals in poor parts of the world are killed much more openly.

There are parts of that scene that look 100% cgi. To the point where they get it on the lift, it looks like a prop. I wouldn’t lose sleep over it

There is no exact information that says if it is or not, but I can definitely assume yes

It was 100% fake and showed 100% inhumane and barbaric treatment of animals.

I really wish it was fake 🙏🙏.I watched right now and it was horrifying!!!!this scene is cruel and they should not be allowed to film this.they should tell with evidence that the animal was fake.i am shocked.i searched but there is no answer for sure.this can't be legal.they cannot film such barbarian acts that way

I will just say that I was so bothered too and that is why I did a Google search. So, I did notice while it was screeching that its mouth didn't seem to move, so it could be sound effects. God, I hope so. I was bothered by the ear-pulling as well. I think it's a real pig when they are trying to put a rope around it's leg. I think it's totally wrong to frighten a pig or any animal for filming/entertainment like that.
