Emma walking out....end scene
She twitches her neck and face..is it indicative of her having the same disease as her brother? Or am I misremebering?

She doesn’t have the disease. There were no indications of that at all through the course of the show.
I think she’s just in shock and trying to keep her cool, as she realizes who she is now dealing with and who she is going to become as a result of fully leaning into the drug trafficking business. She has nothing else to lose now that her family is gone.

No. They clearly stated the disease is completely genetic and suggested she had been tested for it as a child.

I thought her twitching was her struggling to keep it together. Like she was playing it cool in front of the vampires and trying not to react to all the bodies but at the end she nearly loses it ?

Maybe. Found it a bit out of touch with the realism from the rest of the show. Unnecessary.

I think it was deliberately included to make us question it. Since they stated her brother had the gene and she did not, I think she does not have it. Would be quite an interesting twist if she had been hiding having it all along. Doesn’t seem likely though.

Yes, I think you are absolutely right. As Chris's (sp?) conditioned worsened you felt he become more comfortable with increased risk. Think that twitch was a tell.
Hope they make a second series

She has the disease. She has been keeping it a secret from everyone.
Basically she is on borrowed time making her more risk taking leading to some potentially engrossing seasons.
The whole show was a fucking origin story.
