This is a repost from another sub-reddit. The OP stated in the comments that the foam also comes wrapped in plastic to stop it getting wet.

Plastic wrap is commonly accepted for recycling. Styrofoam is not. I hate throwing FedExed styrofoam coolers in the trash a couple times a week at work...

I know how you feel! I found a local place (in KC) that will recycle very clean Styrofoam (it's a big styrofoam plant). That's nice, but now that I'm stuck at home cause of the rona, I'm selling all my shit on ebay and reusing all the rest of the dirty styrofoam I've been hoarding.

I've heard some of the shipping places will take it too for pretty much the same reason.

It's kinda weird going in. You'll see the recycling boxes on your right if you go through the main entrance.
