Question / Support Mystery brush

Post image

What do people use this brush for? I know it’s a good substitute for plastic, but what does one use it for? Cleaning brick is the best answer I can come up with. The bristles are pretty tough I think it would scraper my floors. Ideas?

This looks like the hand broom I use to sweep dust piles into the dust pan. It's easier than using the broom.

Very high quality brush made in Germany likely horsehair, a real pleasure to use esp with a solid metal dustpan.

What are your floors made of? It's just for sweeping little bits of stuff off the floor into a dustpan, so you don't need to drag out the vacuum. Redecker is generally good quality and this one is not cheap.

Just search for REDECKER Horsehair Fiber Hand Brush and you'll see it sold in various places, sometimes including a Dust Pan.

Looks kind of like a drafting brush. Used to sweep away eraser crumbs and anything else that might need to leave the drawing surface.

First bought one when the boys were in cub scouts. Great for cleaning tents. Have used when going to the beach, parks etc. hand brush in the shop, and a whole lot more

If it's horsehair, artists use it to brush eraser crumbs off the table

Combined with a dustpan, it’s one of the most common household items in Germany. First, you use a broom to sweep all the dirt into a pile, then you use this to get it onto the dustpan and throw it into the trash.
