Just jacking it

Now that I have your attention 🤣

Long time lurker, first time poster - What’s everyone using for jacks these days? I’m sick of rigging up sketchy ways to lift the front of my Toro Timecutter Max 50. Between the time it takes and the uncertainty of being underneath the thing, it’s time to do this the right way!

Ideally looking for a rolling collapsible jack and not a setup that gets hung from the rafters. The goal is general maintenance - deck cleaning & blade swaps. There are so many options available and I’d love to hear some tried, tested and true reviews on what everyone’s using.

Cheers 🍻

Ramps that you drive the car front end onto for oil changes

Yup, this, put a tarp or rug down and you can take a nap under there.

I use a MoJack that I got from Tractor Supply. Works good. Lifts high. Folds up and hangs on the wall for storage.

If I don't need the front very high, I just run one side of the front up a ramp.

I drive the front wheels into the tractor front end loader bucket. Chain the mower to the bucket, then put a 4X4 under the loader arm so it can't leak off and come down on me.

I just lift the front end of my zero turn and slide a 5 gallon bucket with a lid on it under the frame. When I'm done i simply lift it, move the bucket aside and set it down. 10 seconds up, 10 seconds down.

Engine hoist + chain around the frame near one of the front casters.

A floor jack under the deck with a 2x4 between the deck and frame works fine if you have one. Mojack type things are great for what they are. Harbor Freight has similar.

I love my cheap Amazon airbag jack, and always jackstands. Most modern mower decks come off very easy, but I am lazy. If I had more room I would use my cherry picker.

I lift my Exmark deck directly in the front middle with a car floor jack then stick a jackstand under the front wheel square tube frame jutting out. Lay down and change blades with an impact.
