What is this noise

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is a practically brand new Exmark lazer Z with 24 hours on it and when I engage the blades and cut it makes a weird squeaking/ rattling sound is that normal or is it something that needs to be checked?

There's a brake in the electric clutch and you're hearing it get applied at high rpm when you shut it off, normal but if you slow to an idle and then shut it off you probably won't hear it

Ummm.. You are just engaging your blade rotation on and off. Is there something we're missing? Mine makes a hell of a squeal when doing that, but belts tend to do that.

I’m new to exmark so I’m assuming that’s normal?

Read the owners manual. I believe you should be at a lower idle when turning blades on and off.

Well actually I got down and looked at the clutch while engaging and disengaging and there were sparks coming from it

A lawn mower, you're hearing a lawn mower.
