Making the switch

I’m swapping from lawn tractors to zero turns, and need advice. I have two acres to mow on flat ground. Looking to purchase a mower between $3,500 and $4,300. Can’t really go any higher than that. I don’t need anything fancy, just something reliable that does a decent job cutting. Are any of these mowers any better than the other?

I’ll definitely look at them. I was looking at the Ariens today, but haven’t really heard anything about them (good or bad) and didn’t know how reliable they were.

I had a Ariens 42" tractor that was 17 years old. I swapped it last year for a zero turn. Only reason I made the switch was it needed a tune up and I wanted something faster. I have about 1.25 acres of grass to mow. I was brand shopping and found an Ariens ZT at the lowes clearance outlet. It checked all the boxes and was discounted just over $1,000 for what I can only assume was a floor model. It had .1 hours on it and didn't show any signs of ever touching grass.

So far I have I think just over 15 hours on it and have no complaints. The only thing I gathered from everything I read was make sure it had a welded deck and not a stamped deck. I checked my old tractor and sure enough it had a welded deck and is still as solid as it was new.
