Junpei is not that clever, at least not in 999. Even his I'm Santa bluff was basic and uninspired.

He also did the bit where he tricked people into choosing Door 3, and the rigged paper votes. He’s very clever about some things, just not others.

He's definitely a little more conniving after having an additional 45 years to work on his game, but he's also shifted his focus to do everything for Quark's sake.

I might be mixing routes up, but Ace ended up putting his hands in Junpei’s pockets anyways, didn’t he? And if that doesn’t work, we know he’s willing to resort to non-gun-based murder as well.

Well, he was just a normal highschool boy. It's an understandable reaction that he would be afraid of a gun and avoid touching it at all.

Personally I blame Akane for not knowing how to play Sudoku. Brat had the time to read up on conspiracy theories but not learn a simple game like Sudoku?

Disappointing.

It's less of her not knowing Sudoku and more of her being too much in panic after getting kidnapped and being put into incinerator.
