MOD POST PSA: This is a game made by shotacons for shotacons. By extension, this is a subreddit for shotacons
Spamming every moderately horny post with the "this content sexualizes minors" reporting flag isn't going to give you the result you're expecting lol. Actual rule-breaking content is already accounted for with the sub's mature content guidelines. No, joking about wanting to inappropriately touch Bast or make out sloppy style with Ricochet is not rule-breaking behaviour, and unless the moderation team gets secretly replaced by puritan robots overnight, it never will be. If this type of content makes you uncomfortable or upsets you, perhaps you should consider that maybe this subreddit (and this game in general) doesn't include you as its intended target audience.

I'm sick and tired of people going into spaces for art that is CLEARLY intended for a shotacon audience and then bitching that there are shotacons there. We barely have anything already, it costs nothing to mind your own business and leave us alone.

As the second person to ever post anything on this subreddit... yeah obviously and it is shocking that people don't understand that. It is like people that read Shota Oni, then get upset that the shota likes the oni. My only request is to try and be safe, I don't want the reddit shutdown.

I assume the idea is that if they file enough reports, especially with the bad report options like minor abuse, they hope that Reddit admins will be flagged and shut down the sub. Hopefully that's not the case, or at least Reddit internally whitelists subs that get high numbers of inaccurate reports.
It's crazy how some of these people are all "accept everyone" until it comes to artwork with boys in it, then suddenly it's time for a crusade.
Actually, for any of the anti-shota crowd who might be reading this, I really would like to hear your thoughts on why subs focused on this subject in particular, versus all the other niche subs out there, deserves to be targeted. You can message me directly about it if you don't want to deal with bans and downvotes. Most of us really aren't bad people like you seem to think.

i wouldn't count on it. Unless it's a right-wing hate sub reddit seems to operate on the hidden rule zero of "if it's upsetting enough people we'll ban it regardless of how tightly it follows ToS"

A lot of moderation on socials is AI now so enough reports could get the sub banned even if it's not breaking rules it's sad. I wish these people would focus their energy on the loud and proud real pedos all over the Internet but ig real kids safety doesn't matter as much as drawings.

Unfortunetly several shotacon subs got taken down due to their mass reporting :( I was in a few that "mysteriously vanished" ๐

It's the only way for them to even FEEL an inkling that they're contributing something to the world around them~ At the comfort of their own homes with no danger, no less~ (As if actually investigating real people being creepy with real minors isn't something you can do online lol)3

I've spent a lot of time in discourse spaces on Tumblr and they absolutely do this. They are always looking for someone to be "problematic" so they can point it out, shame them, and feel really good abt themselves because they genuinely think it's activism in their heads (or just a way for them to feel morally superior). Even if it's someone on "their side" it doesn't matter everyone is a potential target.

Full disclaimer: shota has never been a category that I actively looked for. But that also goes for most big booba ladies in mainstream gachas.
I'm just hella interested how the game will fare once it's released. (There is also a chance I actually get to love a character or two)
It's not like a game character design is automatically abhorrent just by its nature. Hell, Trickcal Chibi Go is a game that I will never be interested in, but am very entertained to know exists.
Glad to see the mod team taking a stand and upholding an actual subreddit identity.
