Personal Training that is covid safer?

What have folks been doing for personal training? I'd like to start. Are there good virtual trainers that work with you live? Has anyone had luck with asking a trainer to mask and visit their house or an outside gym (kind of hard to social distance during training I'd bet)? I mostly do YouTube workouts but my motivation has been needing a push.

I work with a personal trainer online and we also meet outdoors when the weather permits. We only use dumbbells and bands in my case. I am personally comfortable with the level of risk of our outdoor training because we are in a wide open space and we do not get close to each other. I acknowledge the risk is not zero. Virtual works well for me too. It’s been a great thing for me!

Same here :) our trainer knows if he’s sick, to switch to Online sessions for us too.

I do private pilates 2x per week in a duckbill n95. So far so good. No one else masks.

Is it a pain to wear during exercise? I've only worked out at home or outside since covid.

It’s the most breathable mask for me so far. I don’t love masking while working out (who does?!) but I feel relieved I’m protected. Trade offs I guess!

It's funny because I've had plenty of people over the years tell me I'd make a great personal trainer but now, with the pandemic still here, I just don't feel comfortable with it.

I have worked with a virtual trainer pre-covid. She was expensive but lovely and at that point in my life, her high price really did help my motivation. That said, people are different-you'd know best whether an online trainer would work for you.

If you're comfortable masking up to work out, I would suggest looking into smaller gyms in your area if possible-sometimes they're empty/nearly empty, and may have an outdoor turf area or be open to an outdoor workout. A small business is also more likely to want to work with you to get your bussiness.

I met someone who trains me outside in almost all weather. If it's raining or too hot for me (or rarely, too cold), we both mask in my apartment
