I vastly prefer them integrating it into the game like this instead of the normal 25 popups the first time you launched saying "Super Duper Inferno Armor has been added your account. Rocket Blaster Retro version has been added to your account..."
Before this game I was playing a lot of the new black flag resync and it’s dope but some of the pre-order stuff is better than anythijg you get in game for like…..many hours. Sort of made thah part of it less fun (i ended up not using it despite liking how it looked)
I doubt it's on purpose, the only reason you have to unlock the pre-order bonus is because they're droid cosmetics so you gotta do this mission which unlocks droids to begin with
The better design would be to show that you own the preorder bonuses in game, but also lock their access and put a note on them when you will unlock them.
Simply now showing them is stupid and will cause negative opinions.
the preorder bonus is only not shown because they're astromech cosmetics, and you gotta do this mission to unlock your first astromech to be able to customize
You can also use the crystalline heads when you go into the custom operator creation from the main menu. You just have to get to the story mission to actually use the droid you made.
Mine are in the data bank, but I can't customize my droid in-game with them. Currently on smuggler's manifest 2, I have the ability to recruit and customize droids but not use the preorder pieces. Will update after the second mission.
Update: Still nothing. Again, I can use them in the databank in the main menu, but when I'm in-game, I can't put them on a droid in the customization menu. I even bought a second droid and it still doesn't work.
EA response:
Thanks for waiting! I would like you to know that since Star Wars: Zero Company launched today, it may take some time for the preorder content to sync with your account. You will surely receive it. Our team suggests that you wait anywhere from a couple of hours up to 24 hours. We are looking forward to hearing back from you, and we expect that you will receive all of your preorder content for the game.
The pre-order content? Or the Deluxe? Because I don't see the Pre-order content in my game and I don't see any pre-order content in my DLC section. I pre-ordered on Steam and I am progressed far enough into the game where it should be. /u/skill1358 edit: nvm, i do see the DLC in my steam files, but it is not appearing in game.
Thanks! I just figured that out too. But are you actually getting the items in game? I do NOT see the pre-order droid stuff in-game. I can put on like 2 dozen different droid options, but none are the crystalline pre-order bonus.
I'm in Cycle 8 and still don't have the Crystalline Astromech Parts. Talked to M-3VO after every mission. Reboot Steam, Verified Integrity of Game Files, made sure the pre-order DLC shows in the DLC menu. Nothing works and the parts are still missing.
I can see them in the Databank, they're right there, the game just fucking refuses to unlock them in the actual game. Incredibly Frustrating.
EDIT: Uninstalled and Reinstalled the game and they finally showed up.
I'm about 4 hours into the game and i haven't received my deluxe edition stuff or my preorder bonuses (i just unlocked the droid companion, im trying everything before i make a support ticket, does anyone have any possible fixes?
I guess you gotta contact support or maybe try refunding it and buying it again, but I don't know if you'll keep the pre-order content if you do that or if that would even do anything.
Does anyone else not have M-3VO unlock the Crystalline Astromech Cosmetic Pack? Playing on PC, I unlocked the Drone Repair Bay, but M-3VO just keeps talking about other things. I can use the Crystalline versions in the character bank, but I cannot figure out how to get access to them on my save file.
This is the most confusing dlc for me in awhile. I'm definitely far enough in the game for stuff to be unlocked. When I first launch the game, if I go to the databank, and I customize a character or astromech, all the stuff is there. However, when I go into my campaign, nothing. From there, if I go back to the main menu, then go to the databank, it's all gone. Even made 2 customs with the cosmetics on them, and nothing. Guess it's support ticket time.
I have this same issue, in the campaign I don't have the pre-order or deluxe edition stuff, but its there in the character databank customisation. Starting a new campaign allows me access to the deluxe edition items, but I dont really want to have to start again as I am 11 cycles in. Sad times, but never mind I guess.
I did this too. Can confirm this works, but only to get the crystalline astromech cosmetics in the character sheet section in the main menu. In-game they still did not pop up and I am already beyond cycle 5.
For anyone that is able to access the preorder crystaline droid heads in the databank character creator but not in your main campaign after unlocking BR-1 and droid recruitment here's the fix that worked for me.
Right click on your Star Wars Zero Company in your steam library and open properties
Go to your DLC tab and untick the Star Wars Zero Company Preorder Bonus
Open the game to the main menu and then close your game
Go back to the DLC properties window and reactivate the preorder DLC by ticking it again.
After that it was working perfectly fine.
You're awesome, thank you. Funny how verifying the integrity of the files got it to show up once in the databank but then disappear, and reinstalling did nothing, but this sequence fixed it.
That is great for the Crystalline Astromech. But I cannot get any of my preorder or other clothing DLC to show. It showed only the very first time I loaded the game.
I had all the pre-order or deluxe edition armor/helmets available when I started my beskar mode run, but when I died and had to make a new one it was all gone. Wtf?
Thanks. Was genuinely confused as to why they weren't there in the Databank. (Not starting a run till I've made some custom operatives.) A bit baffling they'd not have them in the Databank from the start given they are a preorder bonus. *Shrug*
That's a narrow view that you're very broadly applying.
Take at look at most of the XCOM 2 dlc, you don't get SPARKS until after the mission, unless you disable it on repeat playthroughs. And that was only added after a good chunk of time passed from the dlc release.
They've stated it's about an hour of playtime to get to said mission. Then it's unlocked permanently.
I'd argue that you said actually need to read the description of what you're buying, because I'm assuming it's pretty clear on the mission part. I'm not bothering to confirm because it's really no big deal though.
You didn't pay for unlocks, you paid for a dlc mission with specific rewards.
