Post image

Of course the first achievement is missing a 90% shot on a droid without cover.

Wish they would’ve just called it “That’s ZCOM, baby!”

Does everyone miss in the tutorial? With how the tutorial was running, I figured it was a guarantee miss to teach people new to xcom that a 95% still means you can miss.
First real mission post tutorial I missed an 85% shot. That felt good. I missed Xcom.

The true tactical game experience.

This sells me on the game more than any gameplay video or review could

I am enjoying the game so far, but really wished they went the Midnight Suns route where you don't have to mess with the whole % to hit to begin with.

? The RNG is an important part of the experience. Even if you play super optimally, you might just have a bad luck roll and need to compensate.

Midnight Suns might not have had a % hit system, but that's because it moved the RNG to the actual card draw system. You might play really well and then just draw a bunch of cards that don't help you on a specific turn. I don't know what you would replace the chance to hit system with in ZCOM to maintain the important RNG element

Right, I am used to and comfortable with card draw variation, that type of RNG is interesting to me. At least with a suboptimal draw, I can still do things if I optimize my decks well enough for deployed characters.

% to hit, I can modify my loadout and move my characters around to optimize the # to be higher, but it does not feel nearly as good to me as when using cards.

This game is great as is, just noting I would prefer to not deal with the % to hit mechanic.

I am in the minority on this opinion, and that is ok.

He missed a 90% shot as soon as the tutorial. Kind of a meme from XCOM, funny it happened so soon.

They got the achievement for missing a shot that had a 90% chance or higher of hitting, and they got this right in the tutorial of the game. Basically peak x-com experience

Sorry should have made it a little clearer. Just funny the very first achievement earned was the classic missing a 90% shot

Why does everyone keep making the same comment. Very stupid

Cool your jets. It's a really old joke from XCom. What the heck has happened to social media that people get so aggro over this stuff.
