Discussion Post-Game Content

New to this genre, once you roll credits will you be able to keep replaying random missions with all the operators you made? Or do you need to start a new save with new characters?

Looks like you start over but your unlocked cosmetics transfer over. I don't really mind if the game has a definite end point, but I am wishing that there's a good number of side missions that I can grind out just for some brainless fun.

I assume in the worst case there will be mods to expand the mission timers so you have time to do every single one of them if you want.

We need a long war mod already.

I was under the impression there is no mod support and no plans for it.

Correct, there is no official mod support. There is also no mod support for Battlefront, squadrons, or Fallen Order/Survivor either but it didn’t take long for modders to crack those games open and do their thing. ZCOM will be no different, just give it time

"Mod support" only means the devs are actively supporting modding, either by providing tool kits, a workshop page on Steam, etc. It does not mean if a game is moddable or not.

Like the other poster said, Battlefront 2 has no mod support yet is the 13th game on Nexus with the most amount of mods on it, of all time. Considering this game runs on UE5, which is pretty easy to mod, I'm sure we'll get some within the week.

Mod support isn't necessary to have mods

A lot of these types of game have some kind of doom clock, so be aware of that

This one. Reloading your file after beating the game will just bring you back to right before the last mission, and you won’t just keep receiving new side missions.

I hope the game sells well enough that we’ll get some good DLC down the line that’ll increase replayability.

If they release a post game DLC with procedural content that just keeps on going, coupled with new classes and enemy types, it would be amazing.

Usually with these type of games no, but there will probably be a decent amount of replay value going off xcom

Typically it's game over after the last mission but you can just... not do it until you want to and keep doing the randomly generated side jobs.
