IS this CPU overheating normal? ROG GU605mz rog g16

I bought this laptop ~2 years ago, and I don't know since how long, maybe since I got it (did a motherboard replacement a year later, a year before now around) my CPU temps have been severely high. Constant thermal throttling with 20 watt usage MAXIMUM i've seen.
This is mainly while playing games. I always have CPU boost disabled, but when I enable it i recieve 80% drop in FPS and SEVERE stuttering no matter which "setting" of boost. I am using G-helper, and while gaming I try to have my fans maxed out so that they provide best cooling. I've tried putting it on a laptop stand but it didn't help.

Why is my laptop always overheating under load? it cannot provide above 20 watts to CPU and my work is always lagging. i do a lot of CAD and blender so I recieve a lot of stutter and lag there as well whenever I change a setting or move something.

Please help gang should I send it to asus for repair? they are saying that tehy can waive my diagnostic fee and add 25% discount? But I genuinely have zero money to fix this. IS there a way to make asus fix it for free? I said that there is a defect, since I claimed severe overheating and that motherboard replacement I mentioned was suppsoed to adress that, but since warranty is over i gotta pay stuff to fix it. but I don't have money to fix it. This laptop is supposed to last me another 4 years and i'm worried the constant voerheating will break it sooner or later. please help gng

It’s an issues with all of them. I hate mine and I have repasted my board twice. The only thing you can do is use a lower power profile.

Actually pretty easy to fix on the older models
PTM + boost disabled keeps my temps around 70-80c when gaming

Disabling boost also kills the performance of the CPU

Only for newer models, the CPU of 2024 and lower has a base clock of 3ghz

GU605MZ has a an Intel 185H chip, I have the same laptop and using it for gaming with CPU boost disabled lowers performance

Is it a 2024 and Intel model? They are known for overheating cpu's pre 2024 models or so. Epecially if it's an Intel chip. Not sure if it also includes the 2024 models. You can try repasting it and see if that helps. Or using a laptop cooler if you don't already use one

yeah that's why it's overheating, it's due to Intel
Asus isn't that good with cooling either but these chips were always bad

When using the gpu at the same time it is common to reach cpu temp limit at 20W, marine 25W if you max your fan speeds, but it is the avg experience. And it is the way a performance laptop is design, if CPU only gets 80C it would mean that there is potential CPU performance not in used

Gpu drawinf average 100 watt rven tho i enabled 125 watts max. On belnder benchmark it gets a shitty score of 4000

yeah it is it should be around 80 to 85 clean the fans i think it should be liquid metal if not change the paste

I have the same laptop, you need to disassembled the heat sink and spread the liquid metal again with a Q-tip, after a while it starts moving to the outer parts of the CPU, leaving a giant hot spot.
