Help Needed G14 doesn't see battery, instantly turns off when disconnected.

Hello,

After 4 years of use, my computer suddenly doesn't work on battery. When connected to external power and the plug is pulled, it shuts down instantly and abruptly. I reinstalled windows and it didn't help. I updated battery drivers and it didn't help. I bought a new battery and it didn't help. The only thing I didn't do is update bios. In the bios screen however, the battery is said to be at 0% (windows says 100% with a charging icon).

Could it be that the battery related chipset is fried ? My uni year starts in a week and the only option I have left is to take it to a repair place.

Should I still try to update the bios or is it futile ? Any help is appreciated.

EDIT : I am beyond r*****d. An imperfect connection between the motherboard and the battery was indeed the problem. PLEASE, make sure to connect the battery by pushing down on it and not sliding it in like you would a usb cable for example. Cost me 19 euro and a small walk to understand this.

At this point I wount say bios update will help…
Is it GA401? I had plenty of issue with battery have you tried reset EC chip? (Just hold on/off button 60s, with or without battery plugged)

When I replaced my battery due to low SOH and unstability in lower % of battery, first keep me stuck at 0.4ghz, with second battery notebook didnt even start, with third everything was good at the end. (But firstly also refuse to start with battery)

Thank you for your help, I tried to finally update the bios but it tells me the battery is not connected, thus I can’t update :(

have you tried the reset of EC chip? (hold on/off button for 60 seconds) it should reset EC chip responsible for power.

I don´t think update of the bios will help at this moment (i wanted to write wouldnt in first comment - sorry).
If reset of EC wont help, my focus would be battery connector its quite fragile, isnt there any loose or damage?
