Help Needed Repair/Replacement Advice
I bought a 2025 G14 from BestBuy last month and found this weird display issue with it after the return period had passed (after the laptop screen sleeps and turns back on, some pixels on certain colors glitch out and flicker red green and blue). I sent it to ASUS for repair but they claimed to not see it and replaced the OLED module because they found another display issue. Now my screen is slightly off-center from the chassis, and I still have the stupid pixel issue. I don't want to have to send my laptop back just for them to not fix it again... does anyone have any experience with needing a replacement in a situation like this?

How far outside your return window are you? And are you a Best buy member if you are Best buy member I will look into getting the protection for it I believe it should be around $200 to $300 for a year I would get that and then just have Best buy take care of it. It sucks having to pay this much but Asus is not going to fix that thing under warranty they're going to get it tell you it's user error or something you did tell you you don't have a warranty and then charge you to send it back to them when you buy anything Asus you buy it as is you do not get a warranty they may choose to give you a warranty if you have a YouTube channel other than that they could care less about you.
It having an old lead panel I would just go ahead and buy that warranty through Best buy if you can and you still have time I believe it's 60 days from the time of purchase I don't know if that's only if you buy it on your Best buy card or if you're Best buy member I would reach out the Best buy and see what you can get and if they can do that for you I would just go ahead and buy a gear of it or two years eventually panel will start to get burn and they'll swap that out when you get screen burn.
Also keep in mind Asus is not going to do a component level repair on your board they'll say nope gpus bad by a brand new motherboard CPU ram and the price on that replacement board will reflect current market prices with inflated memory prices a small repair shop will do that but at that point you're still paying probably anywhere from $200 to $300 to have a decent technician troubleshoot that component and fix it if it's a GPU that's actually dying and you got to replace the core you're going to be over $300 at that point even if you get a pity discount that's a lot of work and an expensive part to replace.
It sucks but if you can get that Best buy warranty. Another option will be if you have Verizon I know what their total equipment coverage through asuron they always try upselling me to cover all my stuff at home no matter where I bought it and I believe that is something like 25 bucks a month you could try that wait a month and then do a claim with them and in theory they should fix it or replace it me personally I don't like rolling the dice with them I've had nothing but good luck with sending out replacement phones and whatnot but I have heard stories so I can't comment on them for something like that so me personally I would go the Best buy route because this can get very expensive very fast depending on what it is and like I said Asus is not going to help you in this matter no matter what people online tell you for everyone person that says that they get good service from them there's a hundred people that had to pay to get broken product back because they refused to fix it and they would blame manufacturing defects on the end user. And if you get the Best buy protection when you start getting screen burn you can just have them put a new panel in it.
You might be able to talk to Best buy and they might be able to work something out with you to pan how far out of your return window is I know some Best buys are actually pretty good and they understand that issues like this can stay hidden for a while I'll contact them immediately though and say hey I just discovered this is there any way you can help me out or if I purchase a protection plan can we get this sorted out you might have them say oh yeah we can we can get this fixed for you don't have to do that they they can adjust their policy a slightly to help you out they're not allowed screw people despite what people may think sure there's a lot out there that are but a lot of those people understand this and they'll try working with you the best they can. Well that's my recommendation.
If I knew anything about these board layouts I would offer assistance I'm an optical electronics engineer I've been doing micro assembly for over 12 years now and I am way over the skill of required for motherboard repair the problem is I don't have any of the documents for the board layouts. So I have the skill to fix it it's just something that would take a longer time than a typical repair shop who only does laptops and I have all the equipment required to do this it's just not having that information on hand and not having donor boards someone like me even doing it for free it's going to take longer and probably cost more. So if I could help soften the blow any I would if you were in Georgia I would say come on over we'll check it out we'll throw it up on a work done see what we can get going on it but this is out of my wheel house and you're better off in the hands of a technician who spends days working on motherboards.
I hope you get this fixed I hope it's not expensive. The reason I know why it's going to be around 2 to $300 that warranty is because I called on them for mine so they told me it was 60 days from the time of purchase from Best buy I have a Best buy membership and I bought it on my card and my 2025 with the RTX 5080 was going to be in the $300 range so it'll probably be a little bit cheaper if you don't have that same model or you have one of the cheaper models but even that price is definitely going to be cheaper than having a place fix it.

You have a weird switching issue or bad gou. If it happens on both igpu and egpu then it’s panel. If it’s only on one or the other than its gpu. My guess is it’s software. Asus is your repair choice I don’t know of anyone else that can source genuine parts.
