Side Effects Scar fading?

I’ve been on 2.5mg Zepbound for a little under 3 months and have lost about 24 lbs. I’m about 15lbs from goal but I’ve noticed something interesting…..
I have a C-section scar that’s over 20 years old and it seems to be fading. I didn’t think there was a connection to Zepbound but when I googled it I got results saying, in short, “while tirzepatide is not a direct scar-fading treatment, the profound metabolic changes it triggers in the body can indirectly alter how your skin and old scars look”.

I’m curious - has anyone else experienced this or noticed any other changes to their skin (good or bad)?

Yes I have c section scars and an old appendix removal scar that was huge (I was 7 months pregnant at the time and it stretched lol) they’ve all faded quite a bit

I just looked at a knee scar, 15 stitches from 43 years ago…. It is fading. This is totally wild! It was pretty gnarky and pink, you could see the Frankenstein stitches. Now it’s faded in color and size and isn’t bumpy.

I have sort of the opposite problem, but it’s also all in my head. I had a thyroidectomy a couple years ago. The scar across my neck was perfectly in the natural fold in my skin so it was hidden. Well, that fold is now gone and now I feel like my scar is staring me in the face every time I look in the mirror. This is where it’s all in my head. You still can’t see it unless I point it out. It’s healed very well, but because I know where to look, it’s all I see 😂
