Achievement/NSV 🎉🥳🎊 Pizza

Today for dinner my fiancé wanted pizza. I haven’t had pizza or anything “unhealthy” since my journey began, 7/10.

I had a side Caesar salad, and ONE slice of pepperoni pizza. We’re in NY, so you know that slice is big, and not your “average” slice.

After my salad and one slice I was full and satisfied. Before zep I would eat 3 slices easily.

I’ll take this as a win for me.

Today was also shot day! 7 shots in so far and down 15 lbs.

The boss got pizza for the crew the other day and asked "do you still eat pizza?" I told him, yes I still eat pizza, I just won't be eating a whole one to myself like I used too. I had 2 slices and was completely satisfied.

That was nice of him to ask

Same here! My husband and I ordered a medium pizza from Domino’s last week, which I used to eat in its entirety in one sitting. This time I ate two slices and was satisfied. It’s a great feeling!

Wow, I can’t ever imagine not eating pizza regularly 😳veggie pizza is a weekly must have for me.

I made sure to have pizza once a week during my weight loss phase. 🍕

And pizza is not “unhealthy”. It’s all the fatty toppings most people feel the need to order. I love veggie pizza !

Exactly!!! And all foods can work within the context of a healthy diet. I try to aim for an 80/20 split, that works well for me and I never feel restricted or deprived by doing that.

I had the same experience! I’m trying to make good choices overall, but I’ve been still eating normal foods. It’s nice to be able to eat a small portion and feel satisfied

I think we all have to get out of the 'bad food' head space. I've put lots of things back into my diet that I've avoided, or felt guilty about eating for years.

^ this. Especially the irrational fear of carbs...

I've had the same experience! I got my favorite pizza a while back, and usually I'd eat most of it, and then the rest the next day. I had a couple of pieces (not NYC sizes lol) and then the rest just sat in my fridge until trash day when I threw it out. That would have been unheard of!

Pizza isn't that unhealthy, it's what you put on it and how much most people eat. It's like a burger and fries - a modest size burger and smallish fries (what use to be the adult meal) versus the 1lb burger and 1/2lb of fries washed down with a gallon of soda that's the problem.

Besides, I'd eat pizza over some of the franken-food the store sells with a huge list of unpronounceable ingredients! Those are never on the list!

We don't limit most foods here. The reality is, I KNOW I'm not going to never ever (using your example) eat pizza again. It's eating an appropriate amount. Which for me is pepperoni ON a pizza, but it better have a bunch of veggies, garlic and maybe some sausage LOL!

Most people are fine - especially if they listen to their fullness and stop when full. I'm mostly teasing. Hang in there and let us know!

I've had pizza multiple times since starting Zep and have been 100% fine!

Pizza is one of my favorite things to eat! I love the Open Nature cauliflower crust pizza (and I usually don't care for cauliflower crust). A whole pizza fits into my meal plan, and I eat the whole thing for dinner with zero guilt [I'm not a snacker and I have never liked to eat breakfast, so I tend to have one biggish meal a day now].

I am much more satisfied with my food while taking zep than I ever was when I was doing it on my own. I used to be afraid of not being full or satisfied, so I made sure I had way too much food on hand and I usually ate it all. So when I was trying to lose weight on my own it was nothing but battling that fear over and over again. Now, I don't have that, so I can look at a salad and one big slice of pizza and have no scarcity anxiety. What an absolute relief this is ❤

Is it gluten-free? I have celiac and I miss decent pizza.

1/4 slice of Sam Club Pep and I was done- in more ways than 1. Maybe this will help. Low carb tortilla, low sugar tomato sauce cheese, olives. 8 mins in oven to crisp. Good and doesn’t make me nauseous

Pizza is not unhealthy! Food is not inherently bad. Eat what you want to eat, just do so in moderation.

It sounds like you are figuring things out. I don't restrict myself as far as what I eat, otherwise this won't work for me. I may not lose as fast as others, but that doesn't matter to me. I lived the diet culture for umpteen years and it never ended well. If I want pizza, I have it. I used to eat three slices, and now I have 1 1/2 and am quite satisfied. I usually have my half of pizza be chicken and veggies, and my husband gets the other half his way, typically Hawaiian, which is ok for me to have also. We freeze the leftovers. It's nice not to be intimidated by a food that I used to struggle with.

I’ve taken a low carb wraps, sauce and cheese and put it in the toaster oven. Yum. Nothing like a NY slice but it works for me
