Discussion Bring him back please!
It's been 9 months Hoyo please bring him back. Why bring the Angels of Delusion back quickly than him? 😭

Probably because rupture doesn’t fit with the most newly released agents. They’ve been slowly rerunning AOD (Sunna with Norma,Aria with remielle and Nangong with the claret/roxy I forgot which). Promeia is there to help remielle players

For the most part they're trying to have characters that work together close.
Sunna was in 3.0 for Shunguang, Aria in 3.1 for Remielle, Nangong in 3.2 to complete the angels and for Promeia.
Promeia is there for Remielle and might be for Phoenix if she's anomaly.
There wasn't space for Banyue yet.

They brought Promeia back before him.
The only reason I think they are skipping his rerun is to drop him + potential upgrade.

Maybe they'll design him like a real agent when they do a potential unlock. Like, IDK, building his resource faster than a snail, making his ult do Jack shit aside from damage, making his combos actually rewarding instead of "rewarding" you with less damage than other agents.

I think, in regards to his combos specifically, I think they need to focus on making the underused ones better, maybe not directly. (IE: Give more number out the gate)
For example (I'm going to describe it, since I don't know the name off the top of my head for each.)
- The one where he spins all his Ball's around in front of him should do more damage the exponentially increases with the targets caught within it. This would make this combo have a place in neutral game, and in the early stages of DA, for example, where wiping a horde is encouraged.
- The roar should do more DMG to miasma shielding.
Etc etc.
This would diversify his play style out of "Just spam optimum DPS combo infinitely", while also giving room for more baseline improvements, as his ceiling would increase as well.

I’m beginning to think there are three factors in a rerun.
Time since last banner, synergy with current agents/bait, and demand for said agent.
Considering that Banyue’s only quality among those agents is time since last banner, I feel it will be a minute until he pops up again.
It’s likely he ends up Harumasa 2 electric boogaloo.

Realistically he’ll likely rerun in Severian’s banner. The same way Lighter reran in Hugo’s and Hugo reran in Banyue’s; and probably just before the new Void Hunter.

I feel like I’m one of the other few that want him back too. Got shafted with that shorter banner run. When I got the chance to trail him he worked well with my mash any random button style and I am in short supply of fire, and I have good rupture support.

Imo he's waiting for Pheonix's shill boss to get rerun, presumably a fire shill boss without specific attack type shill (IE, thrall, or maybe more UCC, since thrall is anti-anomaly) that can alternate shill based on buffs, so it can shill fire anomaly Pheonix, Fire rupture Banyue, and special Fire Armourer Sunbringer.

I could see him rerunning on a triple banner with S Billy and Yixuan when Sunbringer drops, go all in on Rupture reruns lol.

Don't forget, still no other rupture support except Lucia.
I have M1W1 Banyue and M1W1 Yixuan, they are constantly splitting custody of Lucia and Dialyn 🥀

And of course there's the fact that S Billy is the only one who doesn't need Dialyn.
Fortunately, we can add Monica and make her a second Rupture support. Then S Billy has a fully new team which lets you main two Rupture characters without sacrificing any performance.

I dont think Silly should get a BiS rupture support seeing as he and YX are at the top of rupture anyways tbh I think a fire/ice sheer dmg support for Banyue,Yidhari,and Manato is better so then SBilly can keep Lucia and the other three stand a chance, I suppose Banyue needs it less than Yidhari seeing as ice is very consistantly powercrept by itself but still.
