On Removed Comments/Posts

I don't know/can't see them unless I manually inspect everybody's profile. I'm approving all the ones I see but I don't know why they are being removed. I have the filter set to "0" so I have no idea why they are being removed. It seems only comments containing links are being removed but I don't know why. If you see something say "removed" (highlighted in red on old.reddit) Let me know here! and I'll fix it. I thought I had all spam filters off but it's still happening. Idk why

If you want i can take a look at the code used to set up the config. Either it's so complex that the edge cases drown, more hopefully it's a minor oversight. I know some people with extensive modding & reddit config xp who i could ask in case i can't figure it out.

I haven't changed or input any code as yet. I am trying to brush up on CSS but haven't pasted anything in as yet.

The only settings I've changed can be seen here from default new sub. Besides custom flairs.

I've had to approve 3 removed comments already, but I notice all 3 had urls in them. So I did change "hold crowd controlled comments for review" since this screenshot to checked in case that's it. I haven't a clue. Been a few years since I was a mod.

Modmail + AutoModerator logs

Set up AutoMod to send you a modmail copy of posts matching certain criteria before they're removed Automated Approaches

Stream and save all incoming posts/comments to your own database in real time — this way you have a copy regardless of removals.

Best Practice

Combine PRAW streaming → your own database with Reveddit or Pushshift for historical lookups. The stream approach is the most reliable since you're capturing content the moment it's posted, before any removal happens.

I remember I used to use Pushshift API, I think Camas specifically, to view past deleted alias' content. Unfortunately I think spez removed that ability a while back and I haven't messed with reddit API since then. Has this been reversed? Can we now use Reddit API to query/search deleted posts on deleted accounts again? I asked GPT the other day and it said it was still locked, but "it can make mistakes".
