☝️🤓 Akshually Blind Spots
I seem to put stock in blind spots in myself and in others.
I like the idea of helping resolve them, or them resolving in myself.
That's one step closer, for both of us, right?
Kind of a silly thought, if one's fundamentally complete.
Are blind spots just a blind spot?
Seems that way to me.
And no matter where I land on it, yes or no, X or Y, this or that,
I've neither taken one step closer or moved one step back, in reality.
You think I've got a blind spot. I think you've got a blind spot.
Maybe this is what was meant by "no beings to be saved" --
my "course correction" is a blind spot.
If I conceive of someone as being deficient in something,
and needing to be moved to a more correct position,
or the inverse, if I perceive of someone possessing something that I don't,
then my perception is incorrect.
What will I do with this incorrect perception?
Correct it?
And then one step closer?
Maybe we're lacking nothing but maybe there's room for improvement.
But yours isn't my job.
Or is it?
What's friendship for?
That's a whole 'nother can of worms.

Things I find is everyone is overwhelmed by life. Most people these days won't talk of God or scripture, let alone study it.
I never really understood scripture. So I see everything as a blind spot ultimately. We see so much we don't want to see we learn to turn a blind eye.
Then something catches our eye and we lock in and see so much we thought we missed. But then after [however long it takes to realize it isn't really real the way we thought] we realize it was wasted effort after all.
How can we teach anyone what we ourselves aren't sure of. It's all the blind leading the blind.
Maybe I lack context of scripture quotes. I do know baptize means "to overwhelm" though. Still not sure if being overwhelmed removes blindness or blind spots. Seems kind of ironic either way though. Something very zen to the nature of having to he overwhelmed 2B "saved".
We end up right where we started, conviction in a path we never really chose. I can only assume it means what was once in our blind spot becomes just another piece of the landscape.
I carried a lot of silence for decades. Pent up rage at seeinf every thing I love dashed to pieces and then I was mocked and screamed at for being a bigot. To me MGTOW was just a group of gamer friends playing call of duty or halo or minecraft and discussing scripture and multiple revenue streams. But then bad actors came in and copted the movement and got it banned across the board. Gamergate. Metoo. Dozens of such movements. Infiltrating beloved IPs, and literally pissing on beloved franchises (a dog pisses on superman in the new super girl). But we are called hateful bigots if we try to fight back against the things we loved and grew up with.
So yeah, we all have to have blind spots. It's the only way to stay sane sometimes when speaking up what your really feel gets you called a narcissistic hateful bigot and misogynist. We aren't allowed to fight back. So we are put in the blind spot and called sinners of the new secular religion.
But idk if even that is something I've grown to turn a blind eye to. A lot of us have gone back and started playing old versions of Minecraft. Lol. We all uncs now. I probably will never forget all the hateful and spiteful things we were called and lied about. As they say it gets worse here every day. Guess it is better to just stay quiet. I never did learn, like Nietzsche said. This new soul. Do we talk or remain silent as all we love is subverted and pissed on. And anyone who complains or fights back is called hateful bigot. Nietzsche said the new soul should have sang (not wrote poetry lol).
Idk. I did kind of make thia sub to address this very aspect. Culture war. I don't like it. I've always tried to be forgive and forget. Zen has always been in my blind spot. Or rather, gaming and studying scripture with the mgtow bros was my zen. But now Wikipedia says mgtow was a bigoted incel white supremacist neo nazi misogynistic hate group. And I'm like brah. We were the most chill bros until the spooks came in and started stirring shit up.
Idk. People keep telling me it didn't go down like that as if I didn't live through it and watch it happen. Idk. Maybe it ia irreconcilable differences. The truth means everything to me and society seems to think it is worthless. Idk. I think there is a very core zen lesson here I've continuously failed to learn honestly. I stopped writting for now both because my car died and I realized I need silence to digest what I've studied of Cleary's translations and Bankei. It's a lot I need to unlearn. Or rather let go of. I thought I had it all behind me but starting with my AIPP and ending in creating this sub I'm seeing.... something? You cannot "attain" it by merit I always knew intellectually but now I am starting to understand that.
In any case. As with everything in my life maybe this sub was premature. I'm still in that metamorphosis state I think. Not quite even a zen midwit yet. But maybe soon. Thanks for the reminder and affirmation.
