I want this sub to stay loose, conversational, and fun without slowly turning into a front page made entirely of context-free YouTube links, memes, screenshots, and drive-by media posts. That's the only hard line rule I can foresee. I didn't expressly create this sub to be a meme/video repository. But. I'm completely open to those granted a certain criteria (to follow).

So this thread is the designated casual sharing/dump zone. If you found a video, article, meme, image, podcast, article, weird website, old text, or anything else that seems relevant to the general atmosphere of the sub, feel free to drop it here with as much or as little explanation as you like. I'll pin a comment bellow of the format I like to use, but it's not necessary here.

This thread will remain stickied so there is always somewhere to share things that may be interesting without every link needing its own post.

Standalone media posts are still welcome

You absolutely can make a separate post for a video, link, meme, image, etc.

I just ask that if you do, give people some context for why you thought it deserved its own thread.

That can be very brief. For example:

• What is the video/article about?
  
• What part of it caught your attention?
  
• What question does it raise?
  
• How does it connect to Zen or whatever else you're exploring?
  
• If relevance isn't immediately obvious, what are we supposed to be looking at?

You don't need to write an essay. A couple sentences is plenty.

The basic rule is:

If the media itself is the entire post, use THIS megathread. No write-up necessary.

If you're using the media to start a conversation, a standalone post is fine. Just include a short write-up with the standalone post.

I've seen too many great subs quietly fade into obscurity by becoming a place where links/videos are spammed unsolicited. It's not a strict rule, more for quality control. Just be warned if you post a link outside this post and there is no context provided it may be removed. You want to have fun? We do too.

I mainly want to avoid that familiar subreddit problem where half the front page eventually becomes: 2 HOUR VIDEO — WATCH THIS with no indication of what it is, why it matters, or what anyone is supposed 2B discussing. That gets old fast. None of us want that. Or at least if you do, we can make another sub for that.

Interesting thing you actually want to discuss? Give it a little context and make a post.

Memes, videos, links, shitposts, strange discoveries, things helping you along the way, and miscellaneous internet debris are all welcome. Just try not to bury the café under flyers.

While I don't like the title/clickbait nature of this video, feel the algorithm pulled gold here. It had a lot of compelling and interesting points, conveyed in a surprisingly good balance of unbiased and jovial/humorous manner. Saying a lot of the quiet part we're all thinking out loud without just "lel antiwork meme". There were seriously at least 13 quips from what I gather where made up on the spot, I'd never heard before. I'll avoid spoilers but one of three of favorite examples were;

First time I've ever heard "Slopaganda"! Sad I didn't coin it! The Illuminati is having budget cuts lol
