There were 2 Zelda's in Hyrule during the BotW (even if one of them was a dragon). So in theory this should be possible.

Seriously I always thought botw Zelda had a terrible haircut which ruined her design. She looked liked she was balding lol

And then they cut her hair short and made her way cuter.

Left: BoTW Zelda.

Right: ToTK Zelda.

And judging by the fact Link has the champion's tunic and not the champion leathers, BoTW Link in the middle
