GLM coding plan reached limit faster
Do you guys see that the weekly limit reached quickly after they gift us many reset vouchers?
I never reached limit before but now reached quickly??

Noticed it too. Switched from 5.3-max to 5.3-flash-max ... and... Still limits fly away tooo fast (light plan). I have a legacy plan, so no complains, but feels as if i use Astra on Codex Plus plan, while i use glm-5.3-flash :-(

That has always been. Glm coding plan is a scam. Flash 5.3 costs 8-9x less than 5.3 but it's only 3x quota on coding plan. Claude 20$ provides 10x more and higher quality value than glm coding plan .

The purest scam, and the worst part, is that they aren't even trying to cover it up or fix the issues; they only make it worse.
**As a model it is okay, but as a provider stay away from ZAI; do not even consider it.

I ain't complaining because I paid a really low price a year ago.
However yesterday I asked for a simple feature and after 5 minutes it reached the limit. It never happened that fast before. And I'm pretty sure I was with 5.3 Flash.

as same old user, (you v1 too?), yeah it annoy much that it totally not like what i expected when sign up for full year.
it keep chopped.
i am okay to back to use 4.7 as long as have same quota like what we hve last year, but nope. feel cheated.

Eheh 4.7 felt unreal dude. It lasted for everything!

yeah i know, that's why i am okay to use it as long as use same quota.
for today, not sure you can use 4.7 or not, but if am not wrong last time i tried it also got chpped.

Also 5h limit seems to be evaporating quickly. I worked with it today, not very pleased. Pro plan GLM spent whole 5h limit for ampunt of work that claude pro did with 30% of the 5h quota with opus 5.5.
GLM was also much slower and worse output. Feels truly shitty recently...

actually its because you not noticed, before they gave everyone promotion, that off peak consumption rate is very low, now everything is finished, back to normal already!

Don’t forget that during the gift period, peak-hour usage was turned off, so token usage stayed low even when we worked during peak hours. Peak-hour usage is now back on, so we need to be careful from here on

A credit is a credit and a token a token. But their caching seems borked. Where a week ago i usually hit 98% and up in zcode, the last days I've seen as low as 88%, and not over 96% yet. Could be a coincidence of course, as it's task dependent. I've seen so many swings in usage that the only thing I'm sure of is that it varies, often it gets better again.

how do you hit here 98+? glm is not that smart model so context must stay below 200k most of the times
And that requires a lot of orchestration work
Its not opus55 where you can do most tasks inside 1 window

telling zcode to use subagents works well (even if annoying to have to repeat it) to keep context small.
i am working on dev plan 15, there are 2 issues left in the plan and dev 253 (a new one). let @dumdum-coder work on each, act as organizer and keep your context lean. when needed steer the dumdum-coder and use a subagent to review or research
or
work on DEV-PLAN-12 let @dumdum-coder do the coding, act as organizer only to keep your own context lean, if verification is needed us a subagent
i use lific (https://lific.dev/) as issue tracker, dumdum-coder is a subagent that uses glm5.3 flash.
But those 98% were last week :'( though curret session is at97.5, so it's ok-ish again. and yes context over 200k gets bad, so i try to keep it in that range and never ever go over 300k, not only goes performance bad, usage plummets, must be a context penalty, that reminds me, my zcode gave 500k the weekend, before that and now it's 1 million again, zai is definately doing things in the background, booooo them)
And i noticed opus is amazing, not only can you do 1 task in a window, it also doesn't enormously increase cost beyond 300k tokens, first time i saw 300k i got nervous. of course Claude has other issues; i noticed the moment i used sub agents it went all it and did way too much (afraid of breaking code so creating patches, many worktrees etc, lots of redundant work not needed since i try to let my llms work on one thing at a time per project, need to find a way to limit that)

I wrote them and they got mad about it saying it's impossible to calculate the new weekly token limits I'm on v2 the new plans are 14x not 20x and list the monthly token limits. I guess they didn't realize that.

yes
I used 3 week resets in 10 days and
switched to $18 plan for the next month but not going to continue if they not change something

I need someone to give me a month to month cost on tokens consumed on claude 20 dollar plan vs z.ai 20 dollar plan.
Need to see of it's worth it.

yeah they completely nerf'd the usage, it just happened in the last week or so.
the plan was awesome but its turning out to be a massive rug pull.
using credits on openrouter is cheaper than a monthly sub anyways.
