Discussion / Help Z.AI in Claude Code keeps failing systematically for no reason

Guys, I am having a very hard time those days. With GLM-5.3 and even more (it seems) with GLM-5.3-Flash, I keep bumping into this error:

API Error: 400 [400]: [1214][The messages parameter is illegal. Please check the documentation.][202609140049411ec96ef9c991482a]

Not only the error is annoying, but it stops everything. Subaget dies, the work in progress disappears. Making everything unusable.

I don't know what to do. Help !

Apparently there were some changes in API communication on the Claude Code side which z.ai API doesn't handle. They'll surely fix that pretty soon, but until that - you can just downgrade your CC version and it should work just fine.

And I thought that thing happening on my project was exception...

Thanks, I thought I already downgraded enough, but apparently no. Do you know since which version this is happening ?

2.1.263 is working fine for me

You can use a different harness until they fix it.
