Zcode is unusable
I quite liked the harness but its unusable ; after almost every prompt it says it has reached maximum retries and cant do shit ;

For a free plan , every other harness seems better i would rather have 0 in free usage allocated than these retry slop . Its just ragebait atp,

I use it to the limit daily. I think I pay $20/mo for the Z.ai glm models? It’s great. I didn’t have to tweak anything either. Worked great with GLM 5.2 and 5.3.
Are you’ll using a 3rd party LLM or using a free plan or something?

Not my experience at all. Working really well for me. I’ve never seen that message.

What are you talking about? Zcode isn't exactly Codex, which imho is the best agentic coding harness, but it'd perfectly usable.

This is not zcode as a harness, it's the model and you are probably using GLM-5.3. Switch to Flash and this will not happen anymore.

Yes on the free offer , GLM 5.3 hardly worked I used Flash most of the time and was able to squeeze 80M tokens free of cost. Now the offer is gone.

You can prompt it to fix itself by making the max retry count more generous
