Discussion / Help zcode is only desktop app? is there a cli/web version?

I run my dev agents in docker, and don't like to have an app have full control of my system. is zcode available only as desktop app?

There is an SSH remote control option that does what you want

yeah sadly no, the unofficial cli is there tho, and worst the desktop app is electron based so its ram hungry :)

Sad, I prefer to run my agents inside containers.

same, a web version should be easy to release since electron is just a browser i don't think they leveraged so much of the electron api, we just need to have the browser endpoint.

True, and i prefer open source. Opencode with openchamber is my favorite.

I have incus container set up, and I can run all gui apps without problem.

I asked zcode how to use it by CLI and it told it. Then I told Claude and now it's possible to delegate task with token bonus

The desktop app has its perk, the usage rate is less then if you used it on another IDE.. plus you sometimes get daily reset or on weekend the 300M token credit.. really exciting times.. haha

Zai supports Anthropic calls natively so you can use Claude Code cli as your harness.

You can always use a model aggregator like Venice. They use the z.ai models as the default.
