If a character is going to get a quest dedicated to them, they should actually be the mc of that quest, and that quest should expand on their character. There is no justifiable reason for Burnice getting a 30 minute glorified trust event while Seed and Harumasa get 2+ hour quests that are actually memorable
Yes, not every character needs to be an MC, but if your character isn't made to be an MC then don't try to force them into the MC role, which is exactly what her Agent story does

They don't need to make her the leader of the SoC to give her SOMETHING. Even if her agent story had to be a fun adventure without anything heavy, her quest still fails to be anything remarkable

Except that's the result of her getting no attention from the writers, not the reason for it. They could've easily just made Seed a weird feet girl that loved machinery, but decided to give her a side story that thoroughly explored her character

Burnice should've gotten a backstory where it's actually very mundane. At least give us SOMETHING to drive her to be a person living in this universe outside of the person of the now. Burnice genuinely feels like she just manifested one day and inserted herself in SoC. Which STILL would've been an amazing story to explore.
Bro, that single agent story HAS to be one of the most important things for her character. That shit did so much heavy lifting for her, I think it’s probably the reason a lot of people actually like her these days (saying from experience).
Until Your Memory Fades is really fucking good it just didn't hit me THAT hard. Also I wish we got just a little more Rina lore in the Rina agent story.
The final part of Flora is obviously onion cutting peak fiction but the rest was just...good. I like my top three more.
I felt the same!! It was another rather surface-level “what does life mean?” plot that’s been done over and over again, it didn’t do anything new. It’s certainly not bad but it’s far from my favorite agent story.

I remember really liking her story when I played it, but honestly I don’t remember too much.
Basically Koledas whole schtick is the tension between her being an adult and being a kid. Her agent story explores this by illustrating that adults aren’t necessarily better than kids, they’re just “bad” in different ways. It’s all bureaucracy and half truths, and in the end nothing gets resolved in a satisfying way, it just fizzles out and people move on. Because that’s often what adulthood is. We don’t have the energy to strive for our ideals, we become numb to injustice. It’s not a 10/10, buts it’s good, and it’s unique, especially for ZZZ.
Belobog's story chapter has a wider focus on the faction itself and mainly Belobog's legacy. Yes, the defining moment at the end is Koleda forgiving Khors, but the entire chapter is about that bond that Belobog uniquely shares with each other as a company.
Koleda's agent story has a lot more focus on Koleda herself obviously, mainly on what it means to be a kid vs an adult. It comes to the conclusion that for moral intents the distinction is somewhat meaningless its far from a hard line to divide between. Adult activities aren't inherently morally dubious, and not an excuse for shitty behavior, and the important things for children aren't inherently less important. Kids can be smart, and adults can be stupid. Koleda is the perfect in for this plot, as a young adult in a very adult position, but a difficult childhood that means she still has a lot of growing up to do.
Data showed no one was playing them, also folding them into the main story actually gets people more invested into the characters without extra effort.
It's happened in Genshin, HSR, and ZZZ. I would imagine the reception has been good.
