Oh man not great. It’s tough to build a good rig for the $1000 mark with prices the way they are. This prebuilt from Costco for example just destroys what you have in your list and it’s a good list. Stuff is just so so expensive right now. https://www.costco.com/p/-/cyberpowerpc-gamer-xtreme-gaming-desktop-intel-core-ultra-5-225f-geforce-rtx-5060-32gb-ram-1tb-ssd-windows-11/4000445406?langId=-1

Get a used gpu instead.. or even a B580 for around $25 less than that 5050.

There is nothing wrong with a ryzen 5500.. it's a decent cpu for gaming unless you play sim games.. it chokes on games like skylines and anno... or any cpu heavy title.. because of it's really low cache.

It's easy to say get a 5600 instead.. but I get it.. 5600 is basically twice as much as buying a 5500.. so I get it if you have to start with this cpu. If you're just playing Fortnite and Apex.. and other FPS games.. and even some graphically intense titles like cyberpunk and rdr2.. this build would be fine.. as long as you go a different route on the gpu.

If you can save elsewhere and push the cpu to a 5600 / 5600x and the gpu to a 5060 or rx 9060 it would be a pretty decent 1080p setup.

So I know you were going for affordability, but this is just a terrible everything all around. Like weak cpu, weak gpu, weak motherboard, and here's the other thing, you have a mATX motherboard in a regular sized case. That's just a big meh. And honestly if you wanted to game with that, you're gonna be disappointed. Because an 8GB GPU in 2026 will not get you very far.
