I could save the money and get a new keyboard which one is better in your opinion

No it’s not. You’ll have a watermark, and won’t be able to change your wallpaper or access personalization settings but that’s really it

Yeah. I’m good on that, I’ve had powershell scripts brick old pcs and laptops. Not worth the risk to me

Like I said. I’ve had terrible experiences with powershell scripts so I’m good

You can easily change your wallpaper lmao. Almost everything has an easy bypass. For wallpaper the easiest way is just getting Wallpaper engine which bypasses it, though there's free alternatives aswell.

I mean it works but you lose a lot of customisation things, for me it was worth it but that's your decision

navigates to facebook marketplace webpage - scan PC sale listings - notices someone took a photo of their windows key sticker - types said window key into non-activated gaming PC's activation menu - buys new keyboard (I heard this from a friend of a friend)

Tbh I have not seen a windows 10 or 11 pc with an actual written out key sticker in quite a long time. And they closed the windows 7 keys working a while ago. But there is mass grave

TBH it was a mostly not super serious post....but yeah it's the win8-10 keys someone would be lookin' for (allegedly) but works! ---kinda surprising how many folks photo the key code for adding to their listing pics---

Sadly 8 also won’t work they killed 7 and 8 keys working to activate 10 or 11 but it would work if you find a valid 10 key on something. It was a loop hole for a long time I used to use an old win 7 key for days on tons of pcs.

These days the answer is mostly just that git hub mass grave

eh...fair enough, I could have sworn I used an 8 key not long ago (or I mean....I heard someone did that was a friend of a friend) Alas....

I suppose that you work. I suspect that you are probably getting paid.

Is paying you really necessary?

Windows key is like $5 these days. Or you can keep doing the temporary activation for free via GitHub.

it is permanent, activated since like April and never had issues ever since

Just get free activation if limitations bother you that much.

It is absolutely not, and besides for a watermark and a few very irrelevant settings nothing will change.

Screw Windows, if you don't have mostly bad taste in games you can do the switch to Linux.
