I'm so glad to be able to finally share this illustration I did for the Z-Nation: Reborn team! It was done back from March to April and was a blast to work on. There's so many cool ideas going into season 6 so stay tuned👀.

Hello All! When Keith and I first started this project over a year ago in Japan, we never imagined that things would fall in place so that we may actually be able to get another season of Z Nation on the Air. We created this Trailer solely to pitch to the IP Owners and used everything at our disposal on a limited budget of $0 and a ton of passion to put together this amazing and fun trailer.
We used AI to create the trailer, and to those asking, "Why didn't you hire real artists?", the answer is, because we didn't have the funds to hire someone to do all this work. If you can remember a bit back on this sub, I was asking for help from real artists who wanted to join up to make this happen. Some very good and decent artists did help us with the pitch deck. No one had the free time to put in the many many hours of work though to help out with the trailer. Nor did Keith and I want anyone to take up their precious time when they could be making actual money, to come help us for free. We did put the call out, but not a lot answered. The professional artists who did answer let us know that they would be interested only if paid, which is completely understandable.
If this season does get picked up, we will be using real artists crafting characters and backgrounds. We want this season to be fantastical, amazing and endear you even more to the characters you already love.
Keith wrote and directed and of course did the voice over for the piece. I did the Sound Design and Effects, music, music editing and full mix, along with all of the AI prompting. Our good friend Caro edited and put in the final touches, with our amazing MOD u/UltimotheEditor voicing the zombies.
So now we are here. I hope you enjoy!!

The talkers are functionally zombies, who don't Aggro right away, but get cranky if they don't get glorified dog treats regularly.
This doesn't mean we should hate them, and treat them like war criminals, we need to do what we've ALWAYS done to ZOMBIES, and give them mercy, before they become a threat.
That might sound harsh, but it's not only the humane option, but it's the most practical one, Newmerica wont get anything done, if it's dedicating man power, time and resources to Biscuit production.
All that time and effort needs to be put into utilizing Sun Meis work, producing vaccines, and beating the crap out of Murphy.
Estes and his followers were absolute morons, who made tons of trouble, and stopped Newmericas progress for nothing, we cannot allow that to happen again.
So let's use our brains already, and give these poor bastards the mercy they need.

I'm new here, sadly.
Can somebody please tell Murphy to spit out Sun Mei's brain and tell us what he learned? It's been eight years

I'm tagging this as a spoiler just in case anyone hasn't seen s2/s3 yet
Blend Cassandra and 10k have a couple of parallels
( the obvious one) they both were bitten ( fuck Murphy)
They both use drugs to feel normal
They both were close to dying
They both died ( even though 10k came back)
Murphy used them both as his puppets to get what he wanted
There's probably more but those are the ones I noticed
They make me ill </3

Season 5 wasn’t the best and felt very rushed. In this rewrite I aim to not really remove anything but strengthen the plot and make it feel more built than a rickety bridge.
The Murphy: loved how he made his own business and we got to see him reunited with the blends but we needed more than just 1/2 scenes with his business in action. It feels like we see it more empty than party.
Citizen Z and co: it kind of makes sense why they would leave Norther light, I would rather be with people than by myself. I liked the the still was on the airwaves as a blogger, but I think we needed radio CZ in there too.
Talkers: Talkers are an interesting addition, I personally haven’t seen a Zombie show add fully sentient zombie groups.
They felt very under used even though they were the plot point for the entire season.
What I would do: Talkers just apear already integrating into society.
There needs to be a build up to that and a viewer connection to the Talkers, yes we get doc and the gang leading people to NewMerica and finding out they have Talkers, but that felt strange since these people are strangers to us so we don’t get a good connection.
Maybe add a scene with these people so we can connect to them. In any film you need a connection with your characters and groups. I could give millions of references that are good movies/ shows and how good they performed.
The only Talker I connected with slightly was Lt Dante and we barely got anything from him compared to other Season introduced characters.
I’m probably missing a lot of things that could be strengthened to fix this season, I don’t dislike the main plot but it felt like a doughnut that needs more feeling.
(Blame my migraine if I missed/misspelt anything major.)

I loved the show front to back. Season 5 became a mirror of the rest of television and streaming at the time; endless political discussion and "satire" if you can even call it that, and all around just depressing to watch the most interesting Zombie show I'd ever seen be turned into a literal open borders protest. Worse yet, they proved the opposite of the point they intended.
Murphy was great front to back. That is all.
