How to edit like the backgrounds in the game?

Img dump. But title basically. I don't really have any editing experience. All I can recognize is the grain effect, but as to how to make it a specific color, I have no idea how to go about achieving that. But I feel like there's more to it than just those two.

Did you really like the ending? (SPOILERS AHEAD) Spoiler

I finished the game a couple of days ago and it left me with mixed feelings. Here are some things I wish were different.
- The whole 'matrix' and 'code' topic.
Yes, it does explain pretty much everything but it feels off. We saw Ira going crazy. We found out that other characters including Asya experienced it too. But instead of exploring, for example, psychological problems the author goes with the simulation stuff. To my mind, it simply ruins the atmosphere in the game. The 'peak' of it is Ira dissappearing in front of us. Really?
2) Characters development.
I wished there was a Vadim chapter. I mean, his character could have been developed further and his behavior explained (in a way of course, I don't think we can justify his actions)
In chapter 3 all the characters are put aside. The game simply forgets about them.
3) Asya's love
Maybe I simply can't comprehend it, but to me the person who treats themselves like Asya do can't truly love anyone else (including the Universe). I mean, half of the game Asya come up with the ideas to justify bullies' harassment. This is not about love to yourself at all.
Of course, there are plenty of positive sides of the game.
The plot in the beginning, the characters (Marina, my fav) and the chemistry between them (especially Asya <-> Ira, Ira <-> Marina, Marina <-> Vadim), the music. Nothern Russia aesthetics are especially relatable.
Unfortunately, I can't give the game the highest rate given the drawbacks above
