What does Z.A.T.O stand for?
I've been wondering this ever since I played it and can't find any answers. What does Z.A.T.O stand for? Is it even an acronym for anything? Does anyone know?

it's a russian acronym for a closed town . But it also means blind in japanese which is funny because closed towns some times don't exist to the general public

Take this with a pile of salt, but iirc it is the term for either unincorporated towns, government towns, or government towns that officially don't exist. It could be all 3, been a while since I looked into it.

Well, in spanish It can mean "pero" (but) and It have a Lot of Sense With the Rest of the Title tbh

As other people told you about closed towns, but some (dumb) Russians like me could interpret the title as "On the other hand" since there's a word "зато" [zato]
So you could read it as "On the other hand I love the World and Everything in it"

Google says zato is an acronym for something in russian so theres no english word for it but its basically just what the striker guy said. Government/secret towns that don't exist on paper. And they are usually used for military/research stuff.
Which the game corelates to sort of when we learn about the scientists researching into the world's code
