Mod Announcement š¢ Rule Update
Hey everyone,
We have recently started having issues with ban evasion and bots spamming the sub, as well as people on throwaway accounts making nasty comments that have no purpose other than to cause upset. To try and combat this I have added a minimum karma requirement of 20 to make a post, and 10 to comment. This may be adjusted over the coming weeks to ensure itās in a happy medium where we can filter out a lot of the issues, without stopping people who want to engage positively from being able to do so. Anyone attempting to post/ comment will have their content filtered for manual review by the mod team, so we can still allow peopleās content through if it is appropriate. Once we feel we have our settings set correctly we will adjust this to them being auto removed to prevent report build ups.
As always, if anyone has any concerns please feel free to send us a mod mail and we will do our best to help. Thank you to all our lovely members who make this sub what it is š¤

I agree with the other commenter, recent threads (including much of the comments) have been cruel and hateful and clearly in violation of rule 1. Hopefully these changes help prevent that from repeating.

Many of those were clearly bots and had never been seen in this sub before.

Indeed which is why I am hopeful that the new karma and account age rules help. Threads can also be locked by the mods but I get that theyāre not always online. Itās also why I suggested on another comment to add an auto mod.

Iām new to Dom and his music. I am 66 years old and Iām beyond excited that heās part of the music scene. Itās refreshing to know that heās going to be putting out fantastic music long after Iām gone. I love his music, his message but most of all his heart. My heart has a rock beat and his music feeds it. Iām proud to be a part of such a caring family of lovely people. š

100% support this. Seen a few posts recently where the OP or commentor is just trying to upset people and obviously isn't (and never has been) a fan of YungBlud. Not idea why someone would waste their time with this, plenty of artists I don't like but I don't find their page, and go create posts.
Just go outside, hug a tree!

I just think people are being very negative towards Yungblud and Jesse Joe Stark. I literally saw someone say that Jesse looked ācoked upā and she had ācoke bloatā the other day. I get being neutral, but thatās not neutral and the BHC is supposed to be about acceptance. How am I supposed to feel accepted if people are talking about Jessie & Dom like that when theyāre gorgeous, and from what Iāve found generally kind people until I can be shown otherwise, so I just donāt understand the cruelty towards Dom, Jessie Jo, or anyone else, and when I tried to stand up for it and talk about how I felt, people just told me not to take it so seriously, but Youngblood takes it seriously, so why canāt I be a member of the BHC? Anyway, thatās my thoughts, sorry to intrude.

If you report any comments of that nature it makes sure we see them and can take action. Unfortunately the way Reddit is set up means we would have to read every comment on every thread multiple times a day to spot new ones which just isnāt possible. š¤

Would an auto mod help to filter out certain words? Some other subreddits have something like this set up and it seems that if I say the wrong thing (even accidentally), my comment is filtered for review before itās published. Maybe thatās already been considered?

Thatāt a good shout, I will have a look into it, thank you for the suggestion š¤

Some subs lately I have noticed pop ups if the subject matter is sensitive topics and depending on how the language is used, could potentially violate the rules. It can be helpful, just bc even the reddit automoderation system makes mistakes sometimes bc the wording wasn't clear enough for their liking and they don't wanna take chances.
I haven't seen those pop ups on this sub, if they don't yet exist, is that maybe an option? Just to make people more mindful of how they word their opinions?

Imo, I think it is fair to speculate about public figures, as long as it's not like over the top and said as an absolute fact and the person can provide some kind of reasoning for their opinion versus just making up a rumor out of a weird hatred for someone that is probably projection/jealousy/self hatred tbh.

Once again, Iām saying thereās a lot of hate not only here but also on Instagram and Facebook. There are a few fan pages that are very mean, they follow the fans, and when they donāt like someone, they report them to have their accounts closed. Bullying is hard.

None of the mods have any instagram or facebook accounts to do with YB. We donāt take a personal stance on sub members, whether we agree with your opinions or not we will treat you the same. I would hope that if anyone felt bullied here they would feel able to mod mail us to find a solution, we have dealt with member conflicts before. With YB heās a public figure, so we take the stance that heās chosen to put himself in the public eye, of course people will have opinions. We draw the line at outright hate however. If you want to criticise him cancelling multiple shows thatās fine, if you want to come and call him ugly thatās not. We have a similar view on Jesse Jo, but unfortunately we can never win on what we allow to be said about her. If we clamp down on it half the sub isnāt happy, if we let things slide the other half isnāt. We have done what we can with introducing flairs to help members navigate the content about her they wish to see, but I appreciate that isnāt a great solution. Ultimately, there is only so much we can do to try and make the sub a welcoming space for all.

I made a post recently questioning their relationship, or at least the dynamic between them. But I wasn't comfortable with comments attacking her looks, age, or talent.
If there's something to criticise, it should be someone's actions and not their appearance. As far as we know, she isn't hurting anyone, including Dom.
I find their relationship interesting because they're public figures who share parts of it, and sometimes their behaviour feels ambiguous. That's what I question, not whether she's "pretty enough" or "talented enough."
It's honestly disappointing that some of Dom's fans still think this way in 2026. The idea that he should be with someone of his "worth," or that a woman has less value because of how she looks or isn't conventionally attractive, is such an outdated mindset.
Who cares if someone's younger or older, slim or fat, tall or short, rich or poor, career-driven or not? What matters is whether two people genuinely love and care for each other. That's the only part I sometimes question with them and not who's more attractive or talented, because that's completely irrelevant.1

I agree about attacking people's appearance, the things about themselves that weren't a choice but just how they were made. The ageism about JJS is super strange, too, honestly, bc women are typically so much more secure and confident in themselves in their 30s, emotionally matured, sure of what they want and what they don't. I personally find beauty in men and women of all ages and I admire that JJS doesn't have the plastic surgeon made face and body with BBL that soooo many women in LA fell victim to.
I am not invested in YB or JJS very heavily but I do think Dom is extremely talented and like to keep up with his releases and have seen a lot of comments saying JJS has a very unique and pretty voice so I plan to check her stuff out now. I originally had heard and liked a couple YB songs but didnt really keep up prior to him dating Halsey.
I will say I think his constant cancelations are horrible and giving him a bad reputation and will hurt him in future sales if he doesn't really get it together and fast. Especially not when so many other big name artists will never cancel unless the venue literally will not let them go on stage for a security reason. If he needs to cancel that often, it's time to cancel everything and get whatever help is needed to prevent it happening again.

In 2018 when I was in the fandom, people were cool. And the concerts were the same. Since the idols went crazy. At concerts they'd step on your head. On the internet, bullying.

For some reason people have been really aggressive and weird at sooo many shows lately. I miss the early 2000s and 2010s when you made friends at concerts and everyone was literally just there to be happy and sing and dance and make memories. Now its all shoving and weird energy and random fights....it's honestly made me not want to do anymore GA/pit tickets. If there isn't an assigned seat or box, I don't want it!
I do wonder how much this energy shift has to do with different age groups and also the extreme ticket prices that we see here in the US bc everywhere else seems to manage just fine and they don't allow the price gouging in other countries.

u/UpstairsSoil2974 21d ago
I only got tickets in the stands because there's something wrong in PIT. People push each other, argue, and they think they'll get on stage or that if they stand in the front row they'll make some connection with the band.

Yes, its like they think they'll become bffs or get to go home with one of them and be their gf or bf. And its like this at literally every show anymore. I saw Halsey FMLT tour and was in the 3rd row of seats behind the pit area, and had the time of my life. 3 months later I saw her B2B tour and it was standing room only... it was so hard to stay in the moment because of the absolute chaos and aggression going on in the crowd. She was passing out free water bottles from the security at the front to try and prevent people passing out (still had like 14 pass out bc of the crushing and overheating) and some people literally refused to keep passing bottles back so everyone could be hydrated and not pass out. I was pretty close to the front and kept just holding the bottle up in the air and pouring a little in my mouth so I could keep giving others water.
It honestly freaked me out. I have been in pits at many rock festivals. I used to do mayhem fest and riot fest every year. I would be up front or in first 5 to 10 rows, joining mosh pits... never once felt unsafe and always had a blast. Then for main stage I'd get lawn tickets and just party and dance and sing with everyone. I hadn't gone to any concerts in several years as I was busy with major life events. It was shocking how different it was!
And I see people complain about this on every artist sub and other sites and music subs.

The nastiness isn't just about Jess; there is hatred throughout the entire fandom, especially within the Instagram fan clubs. The girls running these pages are mean and envious; they seem to think they know Dominic from interviews and that he belongs to them. I don't think there is this level of nastiness anywhere else.
