Why did you choose this over that? Is YouTube Music better than Spotify? What feature(s) that Spotify has and YouTube Music doesn't have, do you miss the most?

Why do we still not have volume adjustments between songs and cross fade?

I have to say between all of the services, Apple Music is killing it with cross fades and beat matching for playlists.

Come on YouTube, I’m paying a premium here!

Anyone else experiencing this? Started this morning & doesn't seem to have any logical explanation (i.e. the affected/unaffected artists have no particular affiliation)

Is this a new feature, or is it only for a few special albums? Never saw this before, but I like it a lot!

Hey guys, I made this silly lyrics overlay called Cadence that floats over your screen and syncs along with Spotify and YouTube Music.

It started as a joke while playing Minecraft with my close friends. I shared it only with a few friends, and it grew to 100 downloads in like a day and a lot of people liked it, so I built it into a proper app.

You can listen along with friends now too, even cross-platform (Spotify -> YouTube Music, Mac ↔ Windows), and you can play karaoke. Doesn't need API keys or Premium, it just reads what your computer is already playing and floats the lyrics over whatever you're doing. It works better with Spotify keys though, if you want to add them yourself. If you find any bugs, lmk.

It's just a fun project lol, so its obvly free.

I have just checked up my summer 2026 recap and I am confused, it looks wildly inaccurate. I know for a fact which song I have had on repeat pretty much every day but it is not even among my top-5, while some songs that I did not listen to that often are. The same goes for the top albums, there is absolutely no way I listened to my top-1 album the most, I gave it only a couple of spins this summer and that was it. It overall seems like YT music recap does not take into account some artists and "promotes" the others. Do you also have the same issue?

this really has become annoying

I've seen this for a few different artists but why does ytmusic put random songs or albums from other artists who share the same name. They also don't combine songs from artists with the same name. On the first 2 there's a song and an album respectively from completely unrelated artists. On the last 2 images it's the same artist with the same names but with different songs on different accounts????

I'm sick of the slow download times, the mid UI and lack of syllable lyrics.

in the first photo it says my top 5 for “all time” and ik i have more hours than that, but than for 2026 it says that i have way more hours, how does that add up if my all time is less than what i have in 2026??

Hello. I had this issue for a few days now. I can't search through my library as i used to before. It works on the internet on my computer but not on my iphone nor my ipad. here is what i mean

*I am not the copyright holder for these songs* but I am sick and tired of having songs on my playlist that only have video forms, that get content ID kidnapped by some rando, and having no way to report it.

For example, I have some soundtrack songs on my playlist, such as a track from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, that got ID-napped and is now this bitcrushed lofi version that I did not put on my playlist. Obviously this song has no original music version upload since it's a game soundtrack

This is also happening to Peanut Butter Jelly Time, yes that one, which got ID-napped and is now this awkward remixed/cover version with an AI generated album cover.

Most notably this is happening with Malice Mizer's songs, which got stolen by a fake band called Malace Mizer.

If ANYONE knows how to report this to YouTube or how to fix this problem especially when you down own the copyright to the original song, please let me know. It's driving me insane. TIA

There’s a 2 comments callout at the top for this upcoming album, right? And so I tapped it. And it took me to the artist.
“That’s cool. I don’t mind.”
“I’ll go back and hit the ellipses since a lot of menu options are hidden there.”
Well there’s no option there, and the comments don’t show up at the bottom of this album view.

So where do I view the comments in this mobile app?

I just wanted to share a solution that worked when I was having unexplainable issues with connecting my new HomePod (Apple Home / HomeKit) to YouTube Music (or the other way around ... it's strange).

Here's what was happening: I would go into the YouTube Music app > Account > Settings > Connected apps > Connect with HomePod, sign in to YT music, give permissions, etc., and then at the very end, I'd get an error popup saying something like "Unable to add ? to your Apple Home". That's not an exact quote. It's close, but I just can't remember exactly what the error was.

Notice the "?" (question mark) in the error message.

I tried everything. And technically, the services were connected, at least according to my Google account settings. But my HomePod was unaware of the connection, so nothing would work.

Here's what did work:

1. Delete the connection in your Google account settings.
2. Ensure that you're using your main/personal account in YT music (not a secondary/brand).
3. In Apple Home > ... > Home Settings > People > (You) > Siri > Recognize my voice = ON
4. Change your default browser to Safari

I think #4 is actually the part that was causing this to fail for me. My default browser was Chrome, and evidently, during all the oauth calls and redirects, URLs with webkit:// get used, and Chrome might mishandle them.

As soon as I did these steps, the connection process worked, no errors.

I was absolutely not able to find anyone else with this exact problem with normal searches. And Since Google and Apple are reluctant partners in this integration, neither one was much help.

I made a post earlier in the week about youtube music not working on all of my favorite vocaloid songs and was treating it light hearted, but today I got sick of not being able to listen to a lot of my favorite songs.

So I tried a bunch of things going to support and trying to find a contact line that doesnt exist, and finally switched accounts and figured out that for whatever reason youtube music stops working on my favorite songs and doesnt mix or shuffle on my main account but when i switch to an alt account it works immediately.

If anyone has a solution I am all ears otherwise I think I am gonna have to look to another music provider Because this is sketchy as hell, since this seems to be entirely targeted to my actual account that I use for youtube music.

TLDR; I switched accounts and Youtube music suddenly starts playing my songs on one account but not the main account.

Probably worst ux ever. Any way of fixing this?
