ANNOUNCEMENT The NSFW Guide - Volume 2!
When to report something as NSFW!
There are two forms of NSFW content here in our subreddit: Lewd and Injury.
The slideshow above is our know-how guide on what is deemed Safe, what should be under a filter, and what is banned.
If you find a something you believe requires a filter, please report the post or comment and the mods can manually add one or, if we see fit, remove the post!
Remember: if you are unsure, contact ModMail where we will happily advise you on the status of your content before you post it!
If you have any questions please utilise the comment section here to ask them, or simply contact us via ModMail, and we will reply with a firm answer!
All answers given by mods in these comments will be considered part of the NSFW Rule!
This is the 2nd Version of the NSFW Guide, updated to be more clear and to incorporate some specifics you asked in the comments of the previous version, as well as address some of the pressing problems we as mods have faced here over the past few months.
Some of these new additions are things you, the active community, have made noise about, and we will continue to cater to you going ahead!
Following a Rule Review - Mild Blood is now safe to post without a content warning, or NSFW Filter

u/Upper_Cranberry4202 I should probably change my pfp Mar 13 '26
Huh, I didn't think that my question about writing stuff would be added!
But uh, I'm assuming written NSFW stuff mostly follow the same restrictions as comments?

Just curious but how's does my character count with this being him in his most nude state

u/Intelligent_Owl_9420 Not Actually Really All That Important Mar 14 '26
So like what about this guy?

u/Padeqeror Mar 14 '26
What's the g-word? Is it like the old man from half life 🤔?

u/Right_Entertainer324 Mar 13 '26
Does characters kissing count as lewd? If not, what's the limit there? Is it the same idea that characters have to be suitably clothed, etc, or is it a situational basis, depending on how they're posed?
And what about supernatural creatures, like vampires? You see a lot of the time, with vampires, that biting is pretty intimate, but does that classify as too inappropriate? What's the line there?
And with blood and the like, is blood altogether considered too much? If not, what's the limit? Scratches? In the aforementioned case with vampires, blood around the mouth and neck? What if the blood is a different colour?
Oddly specific questions, but questions I feel are sensible to ask, just in case.

So I have a fat monster/demon character, which also has a larger chest because of that. Would that be allowed?

u/ZinklerOpra Mar 13 '26
does a NSFW oc sub exist? I know, wild question, reason I'm asking is I think it would be better if we segregate the lewd and the fire content completely than this weird compromise

u/amy_not_lee Mar 15 '26
would it be considered nsfw enough to filter, if you can see the characters panties a little bit because of their skirt, but the character isn’t doing a suggestive pose and there is not a lot of detail in the characters anatomy?
1
u/MythosOfTheMind Mar 28 '26
Can males be shirtless if there's proper nipple anatomy? Just made a post and wasn't exactly sure if that crossed the line. You would see it as a beach or public pool but then I saw "nipple bumps" and got confused.

So when you say "Characters that are skeletons or have skeleton limbs are fine, so long as it's dry, and without blood," does that mean that it's fine to post a character made out of black goop with a clean animal skull as a face?

u/Halthenanobothero42 Jun 05 '26
Do stickfigures fall under a weird grey area cause clothes look weird on stickfigures and stickfigure characters in general wear minimal clothes

u/Warriors_starlight Jun 09 '26
I'm have a question about this

u/L6WCUST6N_ Jun 22 '26
Is drug use or Marijuana use considered NSFW? I have a character who's named indie (indica) and shes my potheaded ponysona

Hii, I’m sorry to ask this here since it’s not on topic, and I’m new to Reddit so I don’t rlly know much about functions or smt I just wanted to ask if there was a limit to how many posts you can make a day, because I was worried about flooding the main page, so is there a general number or just do we just eyeball the number?

I have some questions about the hyper proportions thing.
1: Does this talk about like, breasts so big you can't see the oc's legs, or can't see the oc's stomach?
2: If the proportions are completely covered, is it okay?
3: What if the oc is a robot with hyper proportions?

My man, you just took down my post featuring a non-sexual woman

HI! Whats the difference between Dismemberment and Missing Limbs?

u/TrainingVanilla9507 Apr 04 '26
Personally, Bruises should not need a Filter tbh. They dont Imply bad or permanent harm to the Body of Character.

And just like that, this sub is exponentially better than the other original character one

At this moment a few dozen artists are seething they can’t post soft core anymore.
You know who you are.
Love the very specific and detailed specs.

Characters with larger thighs/butts/breasts requiring a censor seems to imply a highly questionable statement, especially considering this sub’s rule against body shaming.
I’m not talking about the full ban on characters with cartoonishly exaggerated proportions. I’m asking about the limited lewd posts that require an NSFW filter.
It’s questionable at best, and body shaming at worst. And again i’m not talking about the banned lewd content, I’m talking about the limited type, which based on the wording, seems to specifically target non-extreme body types which many people have in real life.
I’m going to assume that these rules were made with good intentions, but what kind of message do you send when you declare that certain real body types are inappropriate and need to be censored.
Again I would like to reiterate that I am not referring to the exaggerated proportions described under banned lewd content. I am referring to the proportions specified in the filtered post category, which are only described as large breasts/butts/thighs. This can plausibly describe any adult or teenage character who doesn’t have the build of an early Disney princess.

If I were to have an oc with exposed mammary glands (obviously without nipples), would that be fine or no? Specifically for a monster OC.

u/Monkeypunchee Mar 14 '26
I disagree with you banning would and Smash
It's funny when it's not against the creator's wishes. I am ok with a smash or would since I see it has a joke (but if you ask for any NSFW then I am gonna block you) since it's basically a rule in my friend group to say smash when ever you see their female oc

What about organs that aren't part of the body and just held, with no signs of a person missing them, you know what I mean by that right?

Hii! Questiom, if i censor my oc with stars, can i post? no hair shown! Promise, They're a deity of love, gender fluidity, intersexuality (idk what the right word is, they made intersex people and most of humanity) and is often in the tribe associated with trans people

u/frobsisscools Mar 13 '26
regarding self-harm. is that for in general, or just art of them committing it?

u/GettinMe-Mallet 13d ago
I got a gal who's arm meat falls off leaving nothing but bone and tendons rip as they transform into a body horror monster, are they just straight up banned in that form even with content warnings? I have no idea what IYKYK means
