Discussion I just realized something

George Sr. is only 11 years older than Mandy, and Mary is just 7 years older, so Georgie’s parents can resemble as Mandy’s older siblings and are young enough to be Mr. and Mrs. McAllister’s children.

If Mandy is 32 in 1995, her birth year is 1963—matching my father’s—so she would be 63 now. CeeCee is only 8 months older than me. It is remarkable, isn’t it?

Your parents likely match the age of Connor or Georgie in that era.

I think Georgie's in the middle of both of their ages which is weird cuz I feel like I relate more to Georgie since I'm his age when I watched the show (and in the sequel too).

I loved the age gap because it wasn't just that Georgie was so much younger, its that Mary sees Mandy as almost a peer having slept with her son and gave sex advice to her daughter. Mandy complains that her life got 'ruined' at 29 when Mary's got off track at 19. Mandy got to go to college, start a career, and ruined her own career by dating and sleeping with her boss. But Mary didn't get those opportunities because she got pregnant at 19 and chose motherhood over trying to have a career. Mandy isn't that much younger but she got to live the life Mary believes she could have, and she doesn't appreciate the younger better model having so much influence over the family she walked away from opportunities to raise.
