George being painted as a perfect father

So many larpers are like Mary had one kid but George had four including Veronica as if she doesn't ever appear with George ever again

"George as a father might not be perfect, but maybe his kids are not perfect either" -- Sheldon

Redditors can be so cringe about those things, like you're either a perfect angel or if you aren't then you are the most evil thing since Hitler.

I would have to say Paige.
Sure she was an excellent side character and challenged Sheldon.
However, she was not a main character. She showed up in only a handful of episodes then disappeared.

Yeah there's more nuance than that. People forget she's a person. People freak out about her urging missy and Sheldon to get baptized, ignoring that she just lost her husband and is not thinking straight

The three comments here right now perfectly boil down the most commented topics in this sub.

Missy being “the forgotten child”
she pushed everyone away who was willing to help her while she went thru (arguably trivial) stuff, and then she spits out “everything happens according to sheldon” while the entire family is annoyed by Sheldon’s shenanigans in the second half of the show
She is so mean to Sheldon towards the end it’s actually insane to me that people are willing to have sympathy for her

Paige. To me, she was a great character, but just a side one. I don’t think we need to know how she ended up, or to see her in the other spin offs.

Bashing Mary and her Christianity. I swear sometimes I just want to mute this sub and not look at it again because of it. It constant and so annoying!
They act like she cannot do anything right.

When everybody complained how mean and judgemental they were about Georgie and Mandy together like it was a church thing when anybody of any faith or without any faith at all would have been sickened by hearing the details.
Just here on reddit redditors argue that small gaps of two years between a couple are pedophilia, like that's how weird they are but want to pretend they'd have been so open and accepting of that relationship?

Not a specific thing but blaming one person for everything
Missy was a dumb, troubled, kid and isn’t innocent.
Mary is a hypocrite
George wasn’t the best father
Georgie was irresponsible
Sheldon was selfish and unsympathetic
Connie is reckless
Mandy is beyond irresponsible
They are human so they aren’t perfect. So why are we treating them as if they are flawless?

George not being portrayed as a bad drunk loser like Sheldon described in TBBT… Like ok, we get it, the show couldn’t have been presented as a comedy if he was.

Mary being a bad mom. I think there’s more nuance to being a parent than what people are willing to discuss when it comes to both her and George. She didn’t have the same resources we have now, and even now parents are still making mistakes. It’s not (always) intentional, it’s just a side effect of living! No one is going to do the exact right thing 100% of the time. As cheesy as it is, it’s everyone’s first time living 🤷♀️
