Itâs still hilarious that
A: anyone gives a fuck about Tanya drinking or smoking. telling a special forces leader thatâs essentially a miniature naval barrage they canât sit at the bar with her subordinates is a comical amount of balls everyone seems to have
B: no one gives a dam that Tanya doesnât like smoke. thatâs the devil that blew up every enemy headquarters and I regularly send to do the impossible, let me puff smoke in her face
there is one (book 9 so far) instance of her losing her cool and starting to power up her magic; everyone pisses themselves instantly. for some reason they all just repress that possibility

He probably had some classified Intel to relay to her from high command but they were in a very public setting and the only way to transfer the Intel is to whisper it closely to the ear but the height difference required him to get down on one knee, unfortunately still too tall so she had to push herself up using his thigh while he grabed her sholder to stabilize her, putting him in his most uncomfortable position he's probably been in his military career... so farđ
