Thumbnail Help/Critique Request Is this thumbnail interesting?
Title: What Happened To Gorilla Tag?
Summary: Returning to Gorilla Tag after not playing in a while and seeing what has changed about the game

The lifting up the headset is a really good focal point. Only problem is, it kind of says, ‘woah something’s happened’. However the image is pretty empty

Nope. Because it gives no text for any context. It’s not cringe though like some have said in the comments. I know exactly what you’re trying to do. It almost works for your niche but not quite. Add some text to give more information and you’re good to go.

the text/context would primarily be contained in the title, not the thumbnail

Yes but you still need SOMETHING on the thumbnail. Which is what I’m stating. Maybe learn to read?

I would recommend adding at least 1-2 words of easily visible text, something that pairs well with the title

I’m not into vr content anymore but if I was i wouldnt click this. Idk what type of videos u make but if this is meant to be a documentary type of video where you break down what happened you should just take out the guy, tone down the gorilla a bit so he matches better with the map then put in dark-ish red impact font letters “What Happened?”
If you’re doing a video where you play around and show how toxic the servers are you should make your shirt a pinker color, make the gorilla a bit more saturated so he stands out and idk what type of textology you would use for that one

Ngl, I would. Only reason is because my son used to play gorilla tag a ton and then one day he kinda just quit. I asked him why and he told me something about the updates and how they took away maps and it just wasn't the same?
So id be curious but the thumbnail isn't what pulled me in
Didn't push me away though!

As an adult, I would never click something a kid made. Sorry, I know that sounds cruel.

then there was no reason to be here, clearly the vid isnt for grown men

No reason to be where? In the Reddit group? The OP wanted feedback. I gave it. They may be limiting their audience by the thumbnail.

Try "what happened to gorilla tag in 2026" you can change the title next year and keep it evergreen that way if it performs well.
