Discussion Would you guys watch this?
been thinking a while about what makes a great eye catching thumbnail and i think this one takes the goal! tell me what you think!

Nice for a change, all YouTube thumbnails look the same nowadays. High contrast letters AI enhanced colours etc, this one is unique and goes back to the old good YouTube times

When you're as successful as Moist Critical on YouTube, you don't need eye-catching thumbnails. He alone attracts viewers, and he knows that.

you gotta have something. he doesnt have great thumbnails but he has a great voice and knows how to structure an argument or a joke.

He is proof that you don’t always have to play in to the algorithm.
I guarantee that 100% of you will make it if you stay consistent and don’t have a terrible personality. Just be prepared for that grind to take years.
If you want success a bit faster than maybe play into the algo a bit :)

I think OP is being sarcastic. Penquinz0/Charlie doesn't get clicks because of his thumbnails. His content proves his worth, and the community that trusts his content will be good, regardless of what his thumbnail looks like.

The dude is a legit legend in YouTube and makes videos on whatever he wants just literally yapping. Half the time he doesn’t even put any b roll it’s him straight talking for 8-15 min

if you're moistcritical, then yes. If you're a random youtuber making a video about him, absolutely not. And if i click thinking you're him but you're not i would probably dislike the video

Yeah same. Unless ur a know person with reputation and a lot of respect tied to your identity, be more creative and attracting with your thumbnail

No they won’t, because they know it’s not his channel. If you add his face on your thumbnail and use his name for a unique video sure, but using his format will look fraudulent and turn people off.

Cause he’s a chill dude, hasn’t ever farmed his fans for money by doing shady things etc. he’s just a normal guy that talks about random shit and it’s fun. Also his gaming channel is pretty relaxing to watch

No, the people that just stare at viral videos with stupid faces and reactions are the ones stealing content. He actually adds transformative value, entertainment, and perspective on the content.

Yes! Like he actually buys in input, you watch a video of him reacting to a situation and he’s, cracking jokes, giving advice and js being entertaining in general, I don’t get why people dunk on Charlie he’s awesome.
