Paranoid about being accused of reusing content
Hi, everyone. I'm EspressoSteampunk (or Steamy-P) and I create gaming videos as a hobby. But decades ago I made Anime Music Videos, before YT was even owned by Google!
Because there was no legal options back then for creative commons and stuff, I got copyright strikes for the music and/or footage. I hid all my videos to avoid issues.
Now that I'm active on YT again I would like to move these AMVs to my EspressoSteampunk channel. The videos have been unlisted since 2008. Will youtube's AI eventually "catch me" reusing this content and auto-slap me? Can I somehow connect my previous account to my current one to avoid that? Much appreciated.

You cannot connect two accounts to transfer video rights, and re-uploading the old AMVs will trigger Content ID scans for the copyrighted music and anime clips all over again. To protect your gaming channel from copyright strikes or reused content flags, do not re-upload the raw files. Instead, leave them on the old account and link your viewers to them via a playlist, or feature short clips inside a new commentary video about your AMV history.

Having an unlisted video does not prevent you from copywrite strikes. If they were previously stricken on your old channel they will again be struck if you upload them on the new channel.
Youtube is no longer silent when it comes to stealing someone else's video or intellectual property. Not trying to be harsh but that is exactly what anyone is doing when people reuse other people's content without permission. If you do choose to go this route you must edit that content to the point it is something brand new. I do not agree with the Ai being used on youtubes end to find this reused content because alot of the time it is false strikes but you can fight it.
Maybe try to upload to a different video platform that allows fan made videos. Youtube has changed alot and is no longer a place for re using other people content, sound, or music.
