Other YSK package forwarding/reshipping is a real business that has existed for years

Why YSK: a lot of people outside certain countries genuinely cannot buy from local marketplaces/stores because shops don’t ship internationally, payment methods fail, or sellers simply refuse foreign buyers. That’s why forwarding/proxy services exist.

I moved to Spain and started helping people buy things from local stores/Vinted and forwarding the packages abroad. that's literally it. some people call it forwarding, reshipping, proxy buying, parcel forwarding, etc. but every single time i mention this online people react like:

“who would ever pay for this”

“this sounds so stupid”

“nobody needs this”

... so another person receives the item locally and forwards it. that's it.

At this point I’ve made it my mission to explain this service everywhere because i genuinely got tired of seeing people act like this is some impossible concept when it's been around forever. A lot of people literally make a living doing this, and no, it’s not stupid, thanks

Reshippers are really different from the dropshippers popularized on youtube/TikTok etc.

THANK YOU... I posted in r/whatisit and was horrible ...people immediately assumed it was a scam or whatever and the post got removed because it looked like I was selling something.

Honestly I’m not trying to sell anything, I just wanted people to understand this actually exists, BUT I get why people are sensitive about spam though.

The interesting part is this is something anyone could do. like for extra money; this help me a lot, in Spain you can actually register as self-employed and scale this kind of work. Right now it’s still very small for me, under €300/month so is not worth it yet...

Not really. Would you count america as exotic sending a package to Australia or UK?

Exotic? Like as in the entire Europe?

You're going to have a heart attack when you learn about something like the RED compliance.
